Stay beat my expectations!
My stay was really great. The rooms were large and remodeled (large desk, couch, flat screen, kitchenette). The mattress was one of those postepedic (sp?) and I REALLY liked it. Slept like a log both nights. In the lobby they had a beer and wine tasting both nights with food from a local spot. I will definately stay there next trip to Grand Junction.

Noisy hotel
Hotel was noisy. We checked out after one night. We didn't sleep well - lumpy pillows and hearing noises and plumbing from other rooms. We moved to the Sheraton next door, and had a nicer and quieter room, soft pillows, and a good night's sleep.

Wow! What a great stay!
Forget any old bad reviews that might still be out there-- this hotel has had a makeover supreme, and the new, good reviews are the ones you want to believe. BTW, there's been a name change: It's now Main Street Suites, Ltd. We came in on the train, That this hotel is within walking distance of the Amtrak station was the first draw for us. Then, after we walked over and checked in, I realized I'd forgotten my cell phone charger. The lady at the front desk said "no problem" and promptly produced a whole basket of chargers. I was tired, and sat down in a nearby chair, and realized I was right at the area where the free social hour (free drinks and hors deouvers (sp))was underway. BO-NUS! Finally up to the room, and flopped down on the bed and --- WONDERFUL! These are Tempurpedic beds with fluffy duvets-- I'm in heaven here! Pulled out my wireless netbook, and hooked right up to the free internet. Bars of soap 3/4 of an inch thick in the bathroom, Wolfgang Puck coffee with brewer in the room, right next to the fridge, Thin-screen TV. What a great night. The beds alone made us wish we could stay another night! In the morning, the free breakfast was a REAL breakfast. Freshly cut fruit, eggs, corned beef hash, hash browns, french toast, waffles, all the usual bagels, sweet rolls, cereals, juices, coffee etc. The people were great, all the guests were happy and chatting, and individually complimenting the breakfast lady on the great breakfast. A great stay, and we'll be back. Next time we'll be driving, and I was happy to note they have lots of free parking. It will be worth it to find out how to get there from the Interstate!

It's OK . . . .
It took close to 30 minutes to check-in with a prepaid registration. We went out for a few hours and returned just in time to see a family leaving our room - they desk clerk (same as check-in) gave our room to someone else - then our room keys no longer worked and had to be reset. Gee -other than that all was well.

Nice place
A great location to stay. We were able to walk downtown for meals and activities. Staff was friendly but many housekeepers could not speak English so it was difficult to communicate however they would find help when needed. Very nice people. Since we got our room on [...]we think we were given a smaller room but a great deal money wise. We were there 4 nights and housekeepers spent very little time each day, merely replacing items but not really cleaning. However, wonderful place to stay for location and friendly people. Continental breakfast was okay..not great...so we went out most mornings.

Enjoyed our stay
We stayed here on our way to another location and to visit the cemetary where my Grandmother is buried. The only problem we had was someone had a couple of dogs that barked.[...]

This hotel has professional desk service that will check you in quickly. The rooms are excellent and roomy and one will feel very comfortable. The bed is wonderful and the pillows very soft.
