Close to Red Lion and the Lifts
A great location for skiing and après ski. Steps away from the Vail Village lift an the Red Lion. Good breakfeast (which was an extra 7.50 per day) and an inviting bar/dining room. Only complaints are somewhat outdated electronics in the room, the fact that it was somewhat noisy at night (I was on the first floor and it was noisy from both outside and the room above me), and the slippery stairs to the pool (there is no separate hot tub but a nice heated pool). Generally an somewhat older crowd.

Great little hotel. Great location.
There couldn't be a nicer hotel in Vail for the money. Ski in ski out at the base of the chair lift. The hotel offered us a complimentary upgrade when we checked in which gave us view of the mountain, a nice balcony with steps that led to the pool/hot tub (heated for year round use). Rented our skis directly across the street (20 % discount because we stayed at this hotel) and kept them in a ski room in the basement of our hotel.

Great location, no air conditioning
The hotel is in a perfect location - very short walk to restaurants and shopping in the Village. The staff was extremely friendly and the hotel was clean. However, the room was hot and stuffy and smelled bad as a result. Open windows and the provided fan offered little circulation. Wish we would've spent an extra $25/night to stay somewhere cool! Would consider staying here again in the winter.

Receptionist could use an attitude adjustment in a big way. Room fairly clean. No air conditioning, comfortable and a decent bang for the buck. EXCELLENT location!

Nice Place
They did not have the reservation for some reason, but gave us a different room. The location is really nice. For some reason we were charged extra $15 for taxes. Although when I did the booking the charges included the taxes.

Christiana Hotel Vail
The service was personalized and attentive. Hotel employees were always friendly and helpful. 100 steps to and from the Vistabahn lift was perfect. I'd definitely recommend the Christiana for a stay at Vail.

Loved the location....secret little gem!
This is old school Vail! Love the staff, and the location is worth millions. The accommodations are perfect for a ski lodge. The pool and Apres Ski lounge are such a bonus. We loved our visit and overall experience at the Christiania. We received more than we bargained for...
