Lobby Bar was great
Hotel was very dated and in need of renovation. Hot Tub Area needs paint etc Whole hotel seemed to need more decorating (lots of empty wall space) except lobby. Coffee table in our room was dirty, couch was dirty. Not stained but just not adequately wiped down. Lobby bar was a great value. Manager was waiting tables an tending bar. Nice guy, good service.

Great girls trip
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel and checked into our room. Their website definitely needs some updating. The rooms were a nice size, and had 2 sinks which was key with 4 girls sharing 1 room. And very close to Lionshead Village, easily walkable! Would definitely stay here again.

I Would Stay Here Again
Staff was okay. Hotel was average. Overall, it is exactly what I expected for the price. Before I completely talk you out of it though, I would stay here again. Breakfast vouchers were included with the room. Full breakfast with eggs, bacon, waffles, etc...lots to choose from and it tasted great. Mountain view room is a must. The hotel is located between Vail Village and Lionshead, so we were able to see the entire front side of the mountain from our room. However, there was no balcony. The walk to the gondola took about five minutes. It was a short walk on a trail that follows Gore Creek. Too close to need a shuttle. Hot tub was inside, but had large windows facing the slopes. Sports bar downstairs is legit. Waitresses were cute. Food was good and cheap. Lots of locals were in there each night that we went, so that has to count for something too.

Sleepless in Vail
Vail is a beautiful and posh city not designed for the frugal or budget conscious. I was excited to find the Evergreen Lodge to have one of the lowest prices with a decent location. Upon arriving, I immediately realized that "you get what you pay for" and was disappointed with my choice. The Evergreen is very dated in decor and color scheme. I don't think anything has been updated since the late 80's. The room is very blah. Our "valley view" had horrible traffic noise from I-70 all day and night. The television was also from the 80's with constant grainy noise and channels freaking out as if aliens were using them for communicating a global attack. I was very surprised that I couldn't get hot water in the shower at 6:30 am on a Sunday morning! The beds are unusually hard and the room gets very warm as there is no air conditioning. We did find a box fan in the closet which helped. I wish I would have spent a little more for a nicer place with a more comfortable room. Oh well, live and learn.
