Nestled in the heart of Vail Village is the recently rebuilt, family-owned Tivoli Lodge, a luxury ski resort known for years for providing friendly, caring, personal service. There are 66 spacious, new hotel rooms offering a choice of mountain or village views, many with fireplaces, and the Peter Seibert Suite serves up stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains. The entire hotel is wireless, and other amenities include - meeting rooms, a fully-equipped fitness room, two outdoor hot tubs with mountain views, underground parking and ski storage. The luxurious and spacious lobby offers stunning mountain views and is reminiscent of a plush, lodge-style living room with over-sized chairs, leather sofas, floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and small wine bar. The new European-style architecture blends perfectly into the surrounding natural environment with unobstructed views of Vail's golden Peak ski area. As the most visited, top ranked ski resort in North America, it's easy to envision Vail as a place to just ski, ski, and ski some more! Being just a block from Vail's main access point, the Vista Bahn ski lift, and a slightly longer walk from both the Golden Peak and Riva Rahn chairlifts, Tivoli Lodge is ideally situated to make your Vail ski vacation unforgettable. As if the centralized location isn't enough, they also offer skiers a valet ski and boot storage to make your transitions on and off the mountain as easy as possible. Being a ski town, Vail locals will tell you there are two seasons: snow, and the rest. Don't be fooled: "the rest" has a lot to offer. For example, when temperatures are soaring around the nation, Vail, at 8,250 feet above sea level, hovers comfortably in the mid-70s. Summer recreation options include everything from the highly intense: jeeping, rafting, kayaking, downhill mountain biking, rock climbing, and paragliding; to the more relaxing: balloon rides, horseback riding, fishing, golf, hiking, and tennis. You'll find Vail offers endless adventure, regardless of the season, and that the town is always bustling with a diverse and lively array of recreational and cultural offerings.

Dining

Brown Hound Lounge
The Tivoli's stunning new lobby, equipped with cozy, inviting overstuffed chairs and leather sofas, serves up towering views of the ski mountain and surrounding peaks. An important part of skiing actually has nothing to do with the mountain: apres-ski, which is just a fancy name for happy hour. So after you're done on the slopes whether it be with ski or mountain bike, kick back and relax in the lobby to take advantage of the bountifully stocked bar at Tivoli's Brown Hound Lounge. Be sure to try the signature Indini cocktail - inspired by hotel mascot Indy, the chocolate Labrador for whom the lounge is named. Never before has barnyard lore touted a brown hound that met a gray goose and lived happily ever.

Wonderful mountain retreat

The staff was fantastic, the room better than the photos and the amenities including the breakfast, the chocolate chip cookies and hot tubs were all wonderful! The ski/snowboard locker was a wonderful surprise and was staffed by great people! The rooms themselves were made with solid wood doors and hardware, a nice sized bathroom and we felt like we were in a very expensive yet cozy mountain home! We enjoyed skiing right to the hotel at the end of the day! Can't wait to stay at the Tivoli again!

Beautiful Place to Stay

We went to Vail to experience Kelly Liken the restaraunt, which was fantastic. We stayed at the Tivoli Lodge. It was close to the "downtown" area, we walked everywhere. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. I think the only issue we had was the lack of Air Conditioning. It did get a little warm. We didn't say anything because we were only there for the night and it didn't get uncomfortably warm. We loved the in house "mascot" speedy, a chocolate lab that is very sweet and well behaved!

Big rooms, free breakfast

We stayed there over a June weekend during the 2010 Vail Art Festival. The room was spacious, high ceilings. There is a gas fire place (which we took advantage of), and a ion air filter right in the room. The rooms also come with a safe, mini fridge, and coffee maker. The bathrooms are luxurious with a walk in glass shower, and separate bathtub. The rooms were very quiet. Couldn't hear a peep of the outside world at all. And the black out curtains helped at night. We happened stay in a room with a mountain view so it was great. The best part was the free breakfast every morning. We expected a basic continental breakfast with cereal. We got eggs, bacon, waffles, fruits, pastries, and more. I do wish they had room service, but I can kind of see why they don't considering you're within walking distance of Vail Village. In fact, you're within walking distance of the Ford Amphitheater, and the Betty Ford Gardens as well. To get to Lionshead Village, just take the bus, which is free and comes around every 10 minutes. The GoogleMap directions we got were all wrong once you get to Vail Village, so be sure to ask for directions either ahead of time, or once you get near Vail Village. They don't have a pool, but they do have two hot tubs. They also have a fitness room, and a media room. Overall, for the price, the Tivoli is a great hotel. We're definitely booking there again.

Vail is the home of Kelly Liken, Top Chef and Iron Chef star. It is SOOOOOOO worth it! Just on the edge of Vail Village opposite the Tivoli. Huge portions, amazing flavor, and very knowledgeable staff. I'm a food writer so I'll be writing a review about it for sure.

Tivoli Lodge

The hotel and rooms are great. The fact that the thermostat in the room didn't work and there was construction directly outside of our window was not. That being said, when we booked for another night (i.e. it wasn't that bad), they gladly moved us to the other side of the hotel to a room with a mountain view. It was still a bit warm, but most people would welcome that after a day of skiing. The staff was great and the complimentary breakfast and ski valet were a bonus.
