Dated Hotel
This hotel had a friendly staff, but was old. My son had a terrible night sleep due to the hard matress. The breakfast was premade frozen omelets to be warmed in the microwave and your typical other breakfast items such as oatmeal, bagels, and juice. The hotel was average, but there wasn't much of a choice in this price range and area.

Great location
Came out to Grand County to bring our daughter to her summer job. This hotel was great in accomodating our changes for the week - we had to add an extra night on to our stay and they worked it out for us to keep our room.

GOOD PRICE vs. VALUE for the AREA
For a business stay this is fine, a typical Best Western dependable level of quality. Wireless internet is excellent. Front desk is understaffed, especially in the morning when one person is trying to handle checkouts and the breakfast operation. Not a particulary friendly small staff. Parking is an anknowledged problem, not enough space. In summer and fall lots of hikers on tours stay here. Lots of places to eat in Winter Park and close.

Very close to everything in Winter Park
The staff was very nice, the room was very big and had great airconditioning. We were walking distance from awesome places for lunch and dinner and 1 block from the music festival we were in Winter Park for. We never moved our car once we parked! The only bad thing, we were charged for smoking in a non smoking room and we don't smoke!!! The front desk was quick on refunding the money when I called to complain. We will stay here again next year.

Try eating at Smokin Mo's, for great barbecue and live music venue, also Fontenot's for great Cajun food and seafood. The Base Camp Bakery has awesome breakfasts! All are right on Hwy 40 and no more than 3 blocks from the Alpenglo.

NICE HOTEL BUT HAS PARKING PROBLEMS
UPON ARRIVING, THE DESK PERSONS DID NOT SEEM FRIENDLY AND THEIR PARKING SPACES HAVE BEEN INCORRECTLY MARKED AND IF YOU PARK WITHIN THE LINES, YOU DO NOT HAVE ROOM TO EXIT YOUR VEHICLE. OTHER THAN THAT, THE ROOM WAS VERY NICE AND CLEAN AND WE ENJOYED OUR STAY.

Great Overall Value
Parked the car and walked everywhere. Breakfast was good too. Could have done without watching my self sit on the toilet in bathroom mirror.

Nice touches and friendly service
The Best Western Alpenglo Lodge had a friendly staff, a very complete continental breakfast and hot tub in a separate space accessible from the outside. The rooms were comfortable and included nice personalized touches like extra towels and toiletries. It was not overly fancy and the building was basic from the outside, but the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. I would recommend it as a mid-level hotel.
