We visited our daughter in Hartford and had a very nice, two night, stay at the Hartford Hilton. The rooms were clean and pleasant and the hotel staff couldn't have been friendlier. The lobby was decorated for the season and the fire was toasty. We were about to walk to the theater from our hotel and to a four star restaurant on Christmas Eve to meet friends. We would certainly go back.

The Marriott was a very nice place itself. I am totally unsatisfied with the person i booked it with it was our 10 yr anniversary and we did not get what we had asked for. again not from the hotel from the booking agent

My husband has traveled a lot for business. When he travels for non-business he wants it to be restful, hassle-free and first class. That is what we received on an overnight trip for our daughter's college graduation. Took our meals in the hotel restaurant where the food was good, satisfying and the service was excellent. Our twenty something daughters could head out after our meal and party in town, all within walking distance of the hotel. Worked well for everyone. Very pleasant fast trip.

Every single person on the staff was friendly and polite. The suite was clean and well- appointed. Only downside: the elliptical trainer in the fitness room was out of commission.

We stayed for 2 nights and got good value for what we paid. Still, some improvements could be made that won't cost anything but will make guests more amenable to coming back. Please make sure hair dryers. The trucks/workers outside the hotel woke us up at 5 am. Breakfast was fine, but we had to ask the staff repeatedly to replenish the bagels, cream cheese, napkins, etc. There was only grape jelly available, which I abhor! Why can't there be an assortment?

Very conveniently located in downtown Harford near businesses, government offices and restaurants. Can walk to many locations in good weather. Very spacious rooms nicely appointed. Friendly and helpful staff.

Wasn't what I expected

This hotel changed ownership to a Ramada - one week before I checked in. So, upon checkin- I was already disturbed that I was not going to get any points - and that Orbitz did not advise me of the change and give me an opportunity to rebook.
The hotel rooms were clean - but that is about where the positive feedback ends. It's in a very awkward geographical location, the lobby smells like mildew and there seems to be very few staff working.
Downtown Hartford is virtually a Ghost town - unless you are brave enough to try to few restaurants or you like the bar scene. So, don't look to this hotel as a relaxing haven.

The hotel is quite nice but the location frightened us after dark. The parking lot was full of young people who were not well-mannered. We will not be likely to stay there again.

I was attending a Convention in Down Town Hartford. The location is central, the rooms were clean and the staff very friendly.Breakfast was OK......all the meats were Pork products which I don't eat.

We only needed a place to sleep, we had two rooms, one was a first floor with one double bed, the other a second floor with two double beds. The second floor room had a very bad odor even with the window open. The first floor room you actually had to hold the shower head to take a shower. The Indians that run the place do not care about customer service AT ALL.

The room was nice, most of the staff was really great except this one young lady who worked at the front desk. She was quite rude to me and wasn't very helpful with any of my questions. If you took her out of the equation it was a terrific stay.

We've stayed at this hotel twice now, and the person at the front desk has gone out of his way each time to make us feel welcome and help us out. He printed directions for us for the next day, for example. Our daughter wanted to stay with us, so he gave us a room with a pull-out couch. The only problem was that the pull-out couch was extremely uncomfortable. Breakfast was plentiful! Thank you.

Badly kept grounds, worn out bed spread, mattress, sheets, pillow, carpet and furniture in room 220. Small, old tv. Towel and wash cloth paper thin. Soap only 1x1" razor thin and no shampoo, no tissue box. Terrible.
