Front Desk and Internet
I was in DC for business and when I went to use the business center nothing was set up to work. Also, the whole hotel had no wireless internet. I tried to call the front desk to set up a 5:00 am wake-up call and I got disconnected several times (4-5) and ended up giving up calling the front desk. The people working there were friendly and the hotel's in a great location. I would recommend the hotel to someone as long as they didn't expect to get any work done in the hotel.

Great for Conferences
I was there for a one night two day conference. The staff was excellent, went out of their way to be helpful. Service and comfort was great for the conference, but I had no idea of the plaza mall underneath the hotel until time to leave....Otherwise I had a fantastic time, it's in a great location for sightseeing!

Mom and Kids DC tour
Location Great - Poor value overall
This is a business hotel. After having just stayed for two nights at the Embassy Suites Convention Center Washington, DC, we found ourselves needing an additional night in town. Per diem prices had just gone up, so we booked this hotel for our family, as it was a bit less expensive. Although the location was great, right on top of a centrally located Metro, customer service was stuffy. Amenities are poor and you must pay separately for everything, a far cry from an Embassy Suites. Television channels are extremely limited, with poor reception. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Not recommended for children.

Perfect for those on a budget
Overall, our experience was good. The hotel was easy to get to from the airport. The lobby was extremely nice. The rooms are outdated compared to the lobby area, but that's not too big of a deal. The bathroom had a leaky toilet and the water pressure was terrible. For the value, I would stay here again. Being a tourist, it was centrally located in DC and had a Metro stop below it that serviced 4 of the 5 lines. Pros: -Central location -Ease of Metro Access -Cheap Cons: -Rooms need updating

What you'd expect for the price
It was an okay hotel. Dated, a bit worn, and a very loud AC. In a dead location, but close to the metro. A good value for those looking to save a few bucks.

Inauguration
Perfect location and great price for inauguration!
We were there for the inauguration and the location was perfect, the staff was friendly and helpful. from the front desk at check in to the housekeeper and restaurant staff. It was great that the metro was located on the ground floor of the plaza.

Inauguration 2013
My family and I spend several days in Washington DC for the inauguration. The hotel location was perfect and the room was big. Staff overall were polite and it was a hectic weekend for sure. The hotel is dated and needs renovation however that was all indicated in the reviews online, so I wasn't shocked. The location is what it is known for. When we checked in they did not have us for a room with a view. Thanks, Melissa and Jim Tinker
