Palomar Washington DC, a Kimpton Hotel

I am a makeup artist & love all things visual. When I opened the door I immediately dropped my bags & grabbed my camera! Wow, such a gorgeous room. I upgraded for $75 to a King Spa room with a Fuji Soaking Tub!! And there's a window cutout over the tub that lets you see the bed and the 32" tv. Or vice versa, meow! Going back to DC next week & already booked this room again!! Walking distance to all, great variety of restaurants.

The hotel was elegant and classy. Beautiful location, close to Georgetown and Downtown DC but you need a cab. Beds are great and overall experience was 5 star!

We were in D.C. last weekend for the Earth Day Celebration. I didn't want to stay in a run of the mill hotel, so I found this one on Orbiz. All I can say is WOW! What a great hotel. We stayed in a Spa King Suite and it was beautiful. loved the huge jacuzzi bathtub. The restaurant, Urbana, was really good too. We also went to dinner at Scion right across the street. Had the best hamburger we've ever had there. There is also a great French bakery/breakfast place a couple of blocks down that was amazing. The hotel is so close to the Metro that it made it easy to get around the city. We will definitely stay there again when we are in D.C!

This hotel was Wonderful! The staff was extremely nice and helpful in suggesting places to visit and eat. The room, well the room was the coolest room we have ever stayed in! We were in a spa king suite. The jacuzzi tub was huge, the bedroom was romantic with warm lighting and vibrant colors, and the living room/office was so practical yet comfortable. The restaurant, Urbana, was great. There's also a restaurant across the street, Scion, with the best burgers we have ever eaten. Down the street was Le Pain something (2 blocks down) with an awesome breakfast. Catching the Metro is easy from the hotel too. All in all, our experience at the Palomar made our trip to DC memorable and amazing!

Very happy with the room and the staff, but a cab ride away from anything else.

Genuinely courteous and friendly staff, excellent service in all respects. Free wine at its friendly bar for happy hour. The hotel has a good restaurant, Urbana, and there is a plethora of nearby restaurants representing a wide range of prices and cuisines on P Street and nearby Dupont Circle. The hotel is attractive, the rooms are attractive, the exercise room is great with state of the art equipment. The bathrobes were unique and my wife wanted to take hers home. The only shortcoming was running out of hot water when I wanted to shower after exercising. The Palomar is now my go-to hotel in DC.

I have been traveling to DC for the past 10 yrs. This is the best the magnificent hotel I have ever stayed in. I love the service, the room, the restaurant, great employees even the employees that park your car. Very convienient. I am very impressed with mgmt to hire the best. Employees and for employees to perform in this way. Loved it..I

This is our second stay. We arrived late and they put us on the second floor because they were sold out. They said we could move the next day but the room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. If this is what they consider not a good room then they have high standards.

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and we liked the experience overall. Excellent amenities, clean, huge space (literary a HUGE space!), conveniently located, nice staff, and really great restaurant inside as well. BUT, both my sister and I were really surprised that we had to pay to watch any TV shows (I have never stayed at a hotel that none of the shows were free - even much cheaper and "less stars" hotels), and the saddest thing was that there was no tea/coffee making facility in the room. Again, this came as a surprise since any hotels I've stayed in the past always had this and was able to enjoy the freedom of being able to have tea/coffee anytime I wanted without ordering room service. At this level of hotel, I wish that this was available though they did have complementary coffee service in the lounge area of the hotel. These two points disappointed us and lessen our satisfaction. BUT again, overall experience was really really great!

The room was amazing and the staff were very friendly as always!! Pretty good location. 20 minute walk to the major museums.
