Great Hotel!
This hotel was a great find! Probably one of the nicest I've ever stayed in. It was just a few blocks from the white house, the staff was very nice and courteous, and the rooms were very clean. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Family weekend
The Hotel was good the location was really good. We walked to the White House and even the National Mall. One odd thing was that most of the local businesses were closed on the weekends, even coffee shops. Made it difficult to get food to eat with a picky 5 year old.

Great service, newly remodeled
Newly remodeled hotel that could have charged twice the rate I booked. We had temperature control issues in the room (it was consistently too warm) but, assuming that was an isolated incident, it is otherwise a great property with top notch service. Definite recommend.

Great weekender
great location; walking distance to memorials, nightlife, and food. Just to north is wonderful neighborhood full of bistros (Luna Bistro!) and lovely walks. Just to south are the memorials and sights!

courtyard view
I stayed in DC for 3 days... and was pleased with the Madison's location. It's close to Mc Pherson Sq ... on the metro and not too far from the White House. The staff were courteous and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. The "courtyard" view is a bit misleading... vents and gravel is all i had a view of.. It's undergoing some renovations which interrupted my room phone service... the drilling and banging begins after 9am... but overall didn't affect my stay.

May one day be a nice hotel
They are under renovations and while the construction did not start until 9am, the loading in began at 5:20am. We promptly transferred to a different hotel as soon as we were able. I'm sure it will be a nice place once rennovations are complete. But I'd stay away for now.

Superb for any business travellor with excellent staff readiness.
From the time of arrival to departure the staff was very helpful...they even found me, quickly, a shaving kit package that had been taken by airport security...they gave me information I required...etc
