Capital Inn of Dover

Hotel was located next to the University my son attends, which was great. Staff was very nice. The blankets were the only drawback in the room because they looked very worn out and old. Overall we only stayed 1 night so that was not too bad.

We would never stay there again! We decided to go to Dover a day early and needed to book a hotel quickly near Dover Downs where we were staying the next night. When we pulled up to The Capital Inn there were people just hanging around - one even asked us our room number as we walked up the stairs. The clerk said she would give us a second floor room since it gets rowdy on Friday nights. We seriously thought we would get robbed when we came back that night.

The room was excellent. It was very clean This was the best room for the price.

i was expecting a better accomodation as was written in reviews on your website. the bedspread was ripped and i believe hasn't been washed for quite sometime. the bathtub was nasty especially the tub mat which was supposedly white but has become riddled with black dirt stains. they have specific time for maids to clean the room .... because we were still in the room they said they could not come back and clean it so they gave us clean towels. nobody even came just to empty the garbage. i would never recommend this motel. it is very embarrasing to have any visitor come to our room. i will never recommend this motel to anyone

I will not be staying at this hotel again. There were burn marks in a no smoking room. No towels were in the room until I called the front desk.

Clean..and..comfortable

A clean and large room,and it was great for my sister and I ,to spend the week-end at the Dover Down's Casino.. Thank you Orbitz !!!!

i stayed at this hotel for five days because i had business to do in dover. once i got there i realized there were tons of hotels on this road, and ALL of them looked better than the capital inn. it seemed very trashy and ghetto. walls were very thin, and there was plastic on the lampshades. they did have free wireless internet, and a microwave & mini fridge in the room. but it was an outside entry hotel like "motel 6". seemed like the kind of place people take their cheap prostitutes. anyways, i survived it, but it seems like i couldve found something alot better for that price. buyer beware.

I can say you get what you pay for. I was looking for inexpensive with good quality but i got inexpensive but the quality could have been a little better but it served its purpose, we neede a place to stay for the night and that is what we got ! :)

This motel was the cheapest available by about $20. If you're reading this, I imagine the discount price is the main reason why =)I'm a biologist and nature photographer and just needed a quick place to stay for an early morning trip to the nearby National Wildlife Refuge. I've stayed in some bad hotels/motels in my travels!Ultimately, this motel was a good find. Unbeatable rate, friendly staff, allowed late check in / 430am check out, clean rooms, mini fridge, working appliances, etc. Additionally, they offered things like fresh coffee, snack bar, wireless interet and breakfast bar, none of which we made use of. We were surprised to find the hotel nearly full, but I assume this coincided with weekend beach traffic. Along with that comes the noisy "hotel parties", but that can tend to happen regardless of the hotel.Would I stay again? Yes.Hope that helps.www.joemilmoe.com
