Days Inn Dover Downtown

The hotel staff was pleasant. The room was dirty, blood stain on wall in bathroom. Very noisy, poor parking. Will NEVER go back again

When we arrived 6pm, we were given a room that had not yet been cleaned. The bed was unmade and there were wet towels everywhere. The front desk quickly put us into another room which rectified the situation. It set us back 20 minutes or so, but not the end of the world. The room was very outdated and the bottom of the bathroom door had been cut at an extreme angle. It was something I should have taken a picture of. I got the feeling that the room was made of bits and pieces from a motel that was torn down as the trim and doors were in poor condition and appeared to be recycled. In the shower, the cleaning staff had not removed the used soap from the previous guest, so there was a less than clean feel from the stay there. The continental breakfast was more or less that you would expect from a 2 star motel. It was not good or bad, but par for what is expected.

Two stars rating was based on location, complimentary breakfast and price. My room standards for our "play" travel are quite base so when I debate about returning to a facility because of condition of a room it is not done lightly. This room's air conditioner sounded like a MACK truck idling in the room with varying amounts of comfort being delivered. The toilet was not secured to the floor, the bathroom door dragged on the tile flooring - the bathroom towel rack collapsed when a towel was removed. The cleaning crew need to go through the room with crevice attachment for the carpet/baseboard areas. The light shades are broken. Sheets and towels were base quality. The bedspread was disgustingly stained and immediately folded and put in a corner. The room needs to be manager inspected for further service to the public. The details of "complementary" supplies (iron + board, micro, refrigerator, hairdryer and bathroom lotions) were adequate.

Went to Dover Downs Cassino, came back to hotel and the toilet would not flush the next day Hotel Manager put us in the room next door, which was a smokers room - the smell was soooooo bad that we drove home that night - oh, well we learned never to stay there again. I just wish there were more places that accomodated small dogs.

was clean and friendly service room was ready when we arrived. i would recommend this hotel to anyone close to dover downs it was great

I don't. Likw the deposit that you have to put down when you check in because are ready room on my credit cards if the credit card on file why should I have to do that

When we checked in the front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Informed us of the continental breakfast and told us not to hesitate to call if we needed anything else.

Friendly staff, Breakfast was perfect, I would stay there again. If it was a higher price, I would have stayed elsewhere

Upon arrival they gave me a smoking room and said that's what was ordered. I mentioned that I reserved a non smoking and they said there were none available. Both my reservation receipt and the hotel said non smoking but they just insisted on saying there were no non smoking available. Either DAYS INN or [...] make good or I'll not use them again.
