Absolute JUNK
I had a work class in dover and needed a place to stay for the night, thinking dover is busy central place, i figured this would be a DECENT room. 1) The hotel and room smelled like cat litter box, the whole place reeked awful. 2) The room was very outdated the wood and trim and furniture was worn and chipped. 3) The bed was large but horrible on my back and body and the bedding was from 1980 and smelled gross the sheets looked clean but WHO KNOWS! 4) the bathroom was decent at best nothing great. 5) the staff is dry not very cheery or helpful. 6) the continental breakfast was cheap and sparse. 7) wifi did not work in the "LARGE WORK AREA" room that ordered so i had no internet. I was miserable and wanted to sleep in my car instead. I am usually very considerate and grateful for hotels i stay in for the rooms and the employees but this is my worst experience ever. DO NOT stay here.

nice thing is you can get away from this garbage hole[...] hotel that it was, there is tons of attractions and restaurants you can walk or drive to you are right on the highway.

Not as good.
The toilet seat was old. The bath tub was not clean well and stopped up. Slow drain. The furniture was chipped and needed upgrading.

Good value but mediocre
This hotel is convenient and inexpensive compared to nearby alternatives. Altough we had no complaint with daily housekeeping some of the bedding (spread comforter and pillows) should have been cleaned or replaced.

Bombay Hook NWR is a great birding location. There are many other good spots near Delaware Bay.

Good price for a quick night's sleep. Ammenities were minimal with no blow dryer or cofffee pot in the room. They did have a breakfast bar which I would say was fair but the ice machine did not work.

Close to Dover Downs and restaurants. Right off the highway to go to Delaware beaches. We drove to Rehobeth Beach on the evening we arrived and drove back to the hotel afterwards. (45 minutes away) We would probably stay there again because the price was right but would look for other hotels in the area first.

the red roof inn was a good place to stay it was my first visit there. The minor problem that we did once reported they took care of it right away. I would stay there each time I visit Dover.

very convenient and price was reasonable
The Red Roof Inn was very convenient to the Dover Downs casino in Dover, Delaware. It was located near many places to dine. The room was clean and I especially appreciated the microwave and the larger than average refrigerator in the room. The only inconvenience was the very small bar of soap.

For breakfast a Bob Evans restaurant is less than a mile away and also Wal Marts. Dover Downs casino is a great place to gamble and is less than one mile away. For Delaware State students the mall is right across the street which is convenient.
