Good but not wonderful
We stayed at the Atlantic Sands for a weekend in May. It's an older hotel in more ways than one. The free parking was great since the boardwalk can get competitive. The location is great but that's about the best part. Our room was a little below average. Old beds and furniture. It didn't feel clean. There was a stain on the carpet. It was nice to have a suite with a bedroom and a pull out couch in the other room. You pay for the location but don't plan on anything beyond that.

Short walk from hotel
A must is having breakfast at Royal Treat Breakfast and Ice Cream Parlor two blocks away. We went both mornings. So yummy and the service was amazing.

On the Boardwalk
Location was great.. Bed was good, pillows were not. Restaurant and bar were not open during the week, and not much else in town was open. However, the trade off was no crowds. WIFI was not usable in our 4th floor room. Having said that, I would return (with my own pillow). Must be getting old.

Worth the money
I enjoyed staying at the Sands. My room was very clean, even the bathroom. I had an ocean front view which was amazing. It's located on the Boardwalk and is only a few short blocks walk to downtown. My visit was in mid April so it was off season but the cost was very reasonable especially for a room with a large fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. My only complaint was that the elavators were slow as it is an older hotel. Glad I picked it.

Great location, terrible mattresses!
Location on the beach is great. The room is adequate, however, the mattresses were terribly uncomfortable. You roll into the middle of the mattress - they need to replace these!

This Hotel is Dirty!
I chose this hotel because it looked decent in the photos and it was in a convenient location. The beds were awful, both beds seemed to be worn very badly with a deep bow in the mattress. I will likely visit the town of Rehoboth again but definitely will not stay at the Atlantic Sands. It smelled bad too!

New Years at the Sands
Hotel has a great location on the boardwalk! It is a little run down, but I would stay there again. Has on site parking, so once you are settled you never need to touch your car until you depart.

A little worn, but clean and comfortable, right on the beach!
The location simply doesn't get any better, and for the price we paid, it was a steal. The interior could use some minor rehab, the carpets for example need to be replaced, but I imagine that keeping carpet in good shape in this place is hard with people walking in directly off off the beach. Our room was less than 25 yards from the sand. The pool is well kept and clean. The address confused our GPS and took us to the wrong location. Be sure to double check your GPS's directions.
