Premium Accomodations at a Reasonable Price!

From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Our room was beautiful, clean, with a fully stocked fridge, large HDTV, gorgeous bathroom, and 4 poster king size canopy bed! Beautiful lobby, wonderful staff, fabulous amenities! We will definitely return! Next time we'll stay longer to fully enjoy the pool, restaurant and spa!
The ONLY thing that should be mentioned, their WiFi internet connection is very slow. Had to use our smart phones for internet.
Other than that, it was as close to perfect as it gets!

A bit pricey, but a very nice resort

Our stay at The Shores Resort and Spa was very relaxing and very comfortable. We usually stay in some of the smaller, family-owned hotels and properties in the Daytona area, but we found a good deal for a few days at The Shores. The experience was great... the staff is incredibly friendly and professional, the room was very spacious, and the atmosphere was very warm and family-friendly. This is definitely a place for those who are discriminating travelers, professionals on business, and people who enjoy some class and quality on their vacation trip.
Although the resort is a little more expensive than we are used to, it was worth it to shorten our trip a little bit and have such a nice place to stay for a few days. It was also nice to have a staff there that genuinely understands what true customer service is all about... that is, being kind, considerate, professional and knowledgable.
The room we stayed in did not have a refridgerator, so our usual plan of keeping some breakfast and lunch items there had to be changed... as a result, we had to spend a bit more on eating out than we'd planned. And the daily charge added to the bill seems a bit much (we didn't use the wi-fi or any of the other services yet still had to pay), but other than that, it was a very good experience. The cabana servers were very attentive, the check-in and check-out were easy, and there are plenty of amenities there for almost anyone (an on-site restaurant and bar, a small gift shop-boutique, and the spa). If you value good service and a little luxury on your vacation, The Shores is a great place to stay in the Daytona area.

showed up at 12:30 and checkin wasn't till 3. They tagged me with an upgrade, but I was in an ocean front room by 12:45. The desk staff was helpfull in local recommendations, and the housekeeping did a nice job on the room. The room was nice and roomy with a kitchenette. The only gig I can give is all the munchies were a elevator ride to the 1st floor and could have used a bar. nothing real special but it was worth the price.

The staff was more than accommodating for our wedding party. The pools & spas (indoor & outdoor) were a great place for the guest to gather. I was pleasantly surprised, especially considering the cost. We had one 2 bedroom suite and 2 one bedroom suites. Everyone enjoyed all the amenities. The only down side was the check out time is 10AM (rather early) and the strictly enforce it.

Pros-Friendly staff, nice location, easy beach access, nice oceanfront view, decent pool
Cons- Parking across the road-$10 a day, we used Valet service for $17 a day (worth it), no balcony in our oceanfront view room, average comfort beds (clean though), old tv (prefer lcd screens), no wifi in rooms
Overall, needs a few upgrades but will definitely recommend this hotel

Decent hotel for Daytona. Most hotels in the area are usually a little questionable but this one was pretty good.
Was there for a college reunion with folks from 18-75 years old and the hotel was a good choice for all. We had a banquet there one night and the biggest disappointment was the price of drinks. They are way expensive in the hotel bars as well ($7+).

Super Hotel, well maintained and with a spotless service. We can´t imagine a better value for money if you want to be that close to the beach. The pool-area offered great possibilities in order to find shelter for the sea breeze....during new year it was not that great weather, but due to the fact we are vikings from Copenhagen, Denmark, it was still OK to take a dip in the heated pool despite temperatures in the 60´s. We played a couple of rounds of golf, and there was plenty of possibilities nearby at affordable rates...and the hotel staff were eager to help with directions etc. All in all - if our way should ever get nearby Daytona, we would definately stay at the Aku Tiki again.

Beaches and races.....a geat combination

Immediately it was a rewarding experience as the hostess upgraded my accommodations upon my arrival at Perry's. At no additional charge, she placed me in a beach-level room with great view and access to the beach. Perry's location was beneficial for me as I was attending races at Daytona speedway. Staff at Perry's were very attentive and efficient. I had an early morning flight to leave and the night security man was friendly and alert. This helped me feel safe and secure. NIght check out person was efficient and sincere. I plan to stay at Perry's next trip to Daytona Beach.

Needed a place to stay while attending the 2012 Daytona Rolex 24hr and got a good rate at this hotel. Not much to say, the hotel was clean, staff was friendly, the location was good and while it is certainly not a 5 star it was a good stay. Only negative is the restaurant food is not very good but plenty of places to eat nearby.

from the start we were surpirsed by the professionalism , curtesy and shere care the staff and manahgement put into our stay (4 nights), Thee food was reasonable and always served on hot plates! rooms excellant. so wish the pool was heated, the views fantastic as was the location

We left a horror hotel and checked in here. The rooms are nice, and very clean. Good view of the ocean. Parking is limited, otherwise you have to walk across the street. They allow animals, so, watch where you step, otherwise you'll be cleaning your shoes and wind up at the front desk like me :( This is the best hotel I have stayed at in Daytona, however, the crime rate is really high and we will not be returning back.

Every request we made received got satisfied with out delay The hotel lobby girls assisted us with information on various locations and return air tickets. We were constantly asked by all personnel about our day and if were enjoying our stay, Room service was prompt and friendly maintenance request were almost instantly responded to and completed .

Very clean, nice restaurant on-site with good prices, lovely pool area, the only negative being that the hotel is about 2 miles from dining & shopping, and hotel doesn't provide a bus for travel to airport or main part of beach. My mother and I stayed together and we decided we wouldn't rent a car but instead walk where we needed to go since we enjoy the exercise, so this wasn't a problem for us. I recommend renting a car or being prepared to call a cab every day. Also, the balconies are a decent size. Big enough that you can comfortably sit two people on the balcony.

The hotel was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was a bit concerned about the light green tint to the hot tub (did not get in). We had a room with a kitchenette but it had only 1 saucepan for cooking. I didn't plan to cook much anyway. LOL.
Overall it was a very nice mini vacation. There is nothing like ringing in the new year on the beach. Everyone should try it @ least once.

Very clean good service nice hot tub & pool. Not enough pool towels. Not enough pot and pans for the kitchen also no oven. Good ocean views. Would return with my own beach towels and a few pot and pans.

The Ocean Shore Resort is a 115 unit hotel located directly on the Atlantic Ocean. We are centrally located in Daytona Beach close to Shopping, restaurants, nightclubs, and the Ocean Center Convention and Sports Complex is less than one mile away. Some of the finest golf courses are only minutes away. The hotel also features an oceanfront swimming pool, kiddie pool and open air sundeck. All rooms include: remote control cable color television, wifi internet access,and touch controlled heat and air.
Security deposits are required for any person under the age of 26 yrs old. The deposit is $100 per person paid at check-in. (deposits are only taken during spring break)

I only spent 110$ for 3days and two nites, I read the previous reviews for the hotel so I was expecting the worst goin into the hotel, I even packd my own sheets and air freshener, the hotel is old and run down, the are making repairs, but the repairs are sloppy!! The beds was comfortable, not as bad as the reviews I read, the only thing I did like was that they had two top sheets n no fitd sheets on the beds, so we did have to keep fixing the beds, and in our shower was a big clump of hair dried up on the wall from the previos people. The staff was very nice, we did fresh towels the second day and wen I called someone was there n 10mins with fresh towels, the staff was great, if your looking for a cheap room, this is the one, but u cannot expect much when your getting a room on the beach for 45 a nite

I was in Daytona for the Nascar FanFest. The room was clean. I didn't realize a train track was so close to the hotel. It was running all hours of the night. The ice machine did not work.

Spring Break 2012 there will be a 100USD damage deposit on all rooms March and April.

Nobody should expect more for this price. Good Location, but a little bit noisy (very close to one of the main roads) and some facilities were missing(no breakfast,no table and chair in the room). Apart from this, the bed sheets (although very clean) were quite old and had lost their original white color.

You get what you pay for. If I paid more, I would expect the room to be bigger and the staff friendlier; however, I paid $65 for a "Motel" ON the beach and that is what I got. When I vacation I don't spend countless hours in the hotel. I go out, have a good time, and crash at the hotel, wake up and repeat.
All in all, I would definitely stay here again if the price is similar.

The MOTEL / HOTEL .... is clean enough .. just enough if you need to make a rest stop on I95 or if you are looking for a place to crash it is good enough CLEAN AC works and the bath is also clean ...
We used it to crash during the 24hr race slept there 6 hs and went back to the track

Hotel was absolutely wonderful and the staff was very pleasent and helpful. Will definitly stay there again. My only complaint is that I could not get on the interent via their wiireless network. However, I have T-mobile stick and was able to use it instead.

The Daytona Beach Resort and Conference Center is a really nice place to stay in Daytona Beach. It is right on the ocean, and the oceanfront rooms afford a gorgeous view of the ocean and the three pools at the resort. Our room had a full size refrigerator, a microwave, two stovetop burners and dishes, glasses and silverware. There is also a nice heated indoor pool with two jacuzzis, and a fitness room right next door. The lobby is very nice, with a business center with two computers. Across the street from the hotel is a nice shopping center, and some nice souvenir shops. A short drive down A1A is the Daytona Beach Boardwalk. My daughters said they would definitely like to return to DBR if we were ever to come back to Daytona Beach, and I agree with them.

Great location. service was also good. The room was clean but very old. Paint chipped, drain clogged after every shower, screen door did not lock and the hallways smelled like a bad drain. The room did not smell though and the bed was clean and smelled fresh. fine for our short 2 day trip.

The room was clean and comfortable. We booked a room that was the hotels choice and got a full kitchen with our room. It's not the most convenient location to the boardwalk at Daytona, but it's in a quiet area a few miles away. There are two pools and one is heated but there were a lot of dead bugs in one of them. The views from the rooms are pricelss though as they all face the ocean :). I come to this hotel anytime I need a weekend getway or send my mom to the beach to relax.

The hotel was great. The best room service.The rooms was very neat and clean. Believe me I didn't know it was that nice until I got there cause just looking at it on the Internet don't say nothing until you visit it in person. It was in a great location I could walk where I wanted to go.

We were heading to the track for the first day if speed week and this hotel was available and reasonable. An older hotel on the water but the staff was friendly and they had everything we needed foe our one night stay. No frills but cleN and comfortable and a quick drive from the track.

We have a BBQ grill on the pool deck for those family cookouts. Our courteous staff are happy to assist with any area of information you may need or in assisting in setting up activities during your stay. Kayaking, golfing and river cruises are just a few of the local activities that can be done. We have a small game room on the property and during summer season we have an activities director to assist with the fun for all ages. While here as our guest, receive a free pass for the week to Planet Fitness, which is just a short drive down the road. We also can help arrange massages and other personal services right in your room. Friendly staff,room was clean,modern.Bathroom was a little small. Only real complaint was internet service was poor. Very weak signal so hard to connect. I would stay again. Would have liked a bar on site.

My experience at this hotel was a good one and the staff was very polite and courteous. I would return to this hotel in the future

Rooms were okay. Wifi only worked in the lobby not as promissed on thewebsite in every room. We are from Europe, perhaps this is why we consider the breakfast as being a joke, just terrible!
