The room is spacious. It's got a mini kitchen. Staff are nice. Overall experience is good. There is wifi in the room, but can never get connected. I don't know why parking has to be valet parking. $20/ day is too much.

Gonna Pass
Used to stay every year sometimes twice a year. They always gave us a great room staff was nice and attentive. Even though it went downhill a little after they filed for bankruptcy I thought I would still support them. This time they gave us a small room. Had to call daily for stuff we needed and maid service. One day the room was not cleaned and they had not changed the sheets for three days. The maid said she was tired. I told her to just do the bed and dishes. She just did the bed. Valet guys are the best the rest act like your bothering them. The last time we ate at the restaurant they treated us like second class citizens so we skipped that this time Their are many other very nice hotels to stay at. This place has gone down hill they should just make it an Econlodge and get it over with.

nice looking hotel
there were a few things that could have made the stay more enjoyable, missing coffee pot in the room, booked two rooms together, same credit card, nowhere near one another, not even on the same floor, additional charge for parking car. pool location totally in a shaded area

Short Get Away
Generally, I travel as a single, but my sister and I were in Ft. Lauderdale for a weekend. The staff was very attentive and helpful. I'm glad I selected this particular hotel and I will certainly stay there in the future. I've visited the area 3 times in the past four years and stayed at a different hotel each time. I think this was the best out of 3 hotels. I do recommend this hotel!

Although the water taxi is available for pick-up at the hotel, we rented a car which made it much easier to explore the area.

This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel.The first time was great ,nice and quiet,no problems.This time the hotel had fire alarms going off every 15 minutes starting at 9:15am and continuing endlessly.I was notified of the fire alarm but not to the extent of it being constant. Housekeeping missed giving us new soaps and had to call 11pm when I arrived back at the hotel. Nice hotel but there should have been an accomodation of some sort for the noisy alarms.

GOOD HOTEL!!!
Clean, big, amazing kitchen in the room, big bed, amazing service. The location is ok - it's 7 min walking from the beach and the hotel offers a free ride anywhere in 4 miles. The pool is too shaded and small.

Il Lugano is a beautiful hotel
PROS: Beautiful Views from our suite. As Clean as it gets. Exceptional Staff. Great Restaurant. CONS: 2 burner stove but No Pots & Pans in room. Pool never got any sun because it is to the side of the hotel. However the beach is only a couple of blocks away. Hated the fact we had to pay $20 a day to park. For Luxury Hotels like this one, parking should be included in the cost of the room/suite....

Il Lugano Is Officially My Second Home
I love this hotel!! It is my second time staying there and the service only got better!! They staff and service is above the top! You really feel like a rock star or royalty! My sister loves being outdoors and she enjoyed her late night walks and felt very safe. I will always stay there when I travel to the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. LOVE IT!!! Two Thumbs UP!!!

Great hotel on the Intracostal
Terrific staff and surprisingly large rooms are the high points of this hotel. Only fault I could find was a torn shower curtain (rm 708). Be careful about room choice, half of the rooms overlook the parking lot, not the water. Not a problem in my case, I arrived at 10PM and left at 6AM.
