Sun Tower Hotel & Suite

What a great location to kick back and relax. Every room faces the beach, the staff was great. The rooms could use some updating, but if you want brand new, pay for it. We were very comfortable and had a great stay.

This was such a great find. I loved being right on the beach. It was quiet, clean, and the rooms appeared to have been recently updated with new carpet, freshly painted walls, and canvas prints, etc. The view from the room was awesome! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The negatives which I considered minor were the following: The beds were a little too soft (I like a firm mattress), the headboard didn't seem very sturdy, and the food at the on-site restaurant was average at best. Overall, it was a great place to stay. I will definitely return one day.

My family loves this place. Got excellent directions on how to get there when I called. Any time we call the front desk for information it was provided quick and with no problems. We ordered pizza and went down to the private beach while we waited and we had one of the staff members come down to the beach to look for us because the pizza arrived early. I would recommend it to all my friends and family.

Cannot beat the on the beach location, especially for the price. Small bar and grill has good food and very friendly staff. It is a distance from shops and other restaruants, but worth it. Room was clean and spatious (stayed in a suite). Not high end appointments or ammenities but who cares. The ocean is steps away from the patio doors.

The Sun Tower Hotel and Suites is a better hotel than 3 stars, but it is really dependent on what you are looking for. while it is not a luxurious place, the rooms are very crisp, clean, and useful if you want a nice place to stay. The bathrooms are small and functional. Again, not luxurious. The reason this hotel deserves more than 3 stars is related to the staff, the atmosphere, and the little extras. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. While the hotel parking was limited, if you could not find a spot, the staff would move your car for you when one became available. They also requested contact information in case you leave something behind. The hotel is also very quiet and peaceful. This is related to its size, as there are only 3 or 4 rooms per floor, and only about 6 floors (I'm not completely certain on the numbers). Our favorite part was the location right on the beach. Many hotels in Ft Lauderdale are across the A1A from the beach. The view from the room was amazing, and the hotel provides lounge chairs and hammocks on the beach for its guests. Since most other hotels do not have private beaches, the lounges available are rentals. If one is looking for a relaxing getaway in a quiet place, this hotel is great. If you want to sit on the beach, enjoy the view, and unwind, this is the place.

This was a great little hotel that sits right on the beach. It has chairs and umbrellas right out the back door. Beautiful BIG rooms. It is an older hotel and sits between a resort and a high rise condo. I recommend it for the view and for the beach. It was very reasonable priced.[...] It is about a 10 minute cab ride from the cruise terminal and about 15 minute ride to the airport. Only problem was no place close to eat. There is a pier you can see on the beach that is about 1-2 miles that has lots of places to eat. BUT, we just ordered off of one of the delivery menus they had at the front desk. We had pasta, garlic bread, salad and soda from one of the italian places and it was nice to get it and sit on our porch and enjoy the sunset. Highly recommend this littel hotel on the beach...

Great deeal and a wonder hotel. Will be back to stay here when I come back to Ft. Lauderdale Beach. Great location right on the beach.

This place is a little jewel tucked away from the noise and crowds. The staff was great. There is free parking and even good food on site. The location alone exceeded my expectations. I will stay here everytime I visit the area.
