Exceeded expectations

The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was surprisingly bigger than I expected and had marble countertops. The continental breakfast was better than I assumed it would be. The beds could be a little bigger. It was a great find and a nice place to crash after spending each day on Florida's great beaches!

Good hotel for the money

Nice and quiet even though we were near the elevator and stairs. Nice that the desk clerk called us later to see if everything was ok with the room. Location was great as we went to Sanibel Island for a wedding.

Fun in Ft. Myers

We loved the location, the pool, the free breakfast in a screened-in area. The maid service left something to be desired and the room's amenities (especially in the bathroom....no vanity!) were below par. The price is good and we like the other guests...friendly, family-oriented for the most part. Quality of exercise machines is poor.

The Lighthouse restaurant is very close to the hotel and serves delicious, moderately-priced meals. Also, University Grill serves delicious meals and has an early-bird price that's hard to beat.

Great Location

When entering the room for the first time there was a damp musty smell, once the room cooled down the smell disapeared. Overall our experience was great

not a 3 star!

arrived @ 2pm and asked to check in, lady said check in is NOT until 3pm and I said can you check if room is ready and she said come back at 3-room isn't ready. Room smelled like mold as soon as we walked in even though it looked clean. Had 2 teenage boys but sleeper sofa is a twin so it was only big enough for one-asked for a different room they said no, all sold out, asked for a cot, they said no we don't have cots so my son had to sleep on floor! Maintenance man walked around with a large, loud leaf blower cleaning all floors but blew everything in pool so it was dirty. Staff rude and unhelpful-stay somewhere else, not worth the money.

Vacation

Not bad overall. But I am not a smoker. We requested non-smoking. And we were stuck with a smoking room after we checked in and realized it was smoking. So I asked the hotel to put in a memo on our reservation. As they told me they couldn't do anything since it was booked through an outside source.
