TIme to check on the parents
The room was on the first floor and it was near an exit which I appreciate and look for. The staff was very professional and courteous and gave me a courteous call after I had checked into the Hotel. I have stayed at this place before because it seems it is close to Cypress Village where my parents are at and close to one of my sisters house. There was a Publix down the street where I got my small breakfast items and was able to use a refrigerator in my hotel room

Under Construction
The description says "The renovated Courtyard..." Not so true. I wish somewhere it would have noted that the hotel and surrounding areas were still under construction. I had difficulty finding the hotel when I arrived late at night as there was only one tiny blue road sign (no arrow) indicating that the road/driveway belonged to the Marriott. In fact my GPS had the address located at and entirely different location on the Mayo Clinic property. The front desk area was under construction so checkin was through an unmarked door in the back of the hotel. The room I was given was designed to be handicap accessible, which is great if I was handicapped, I hope someone who may have needed a handicapped room was not put elsewhere because I was put there. Due to the handicapped features the bathroom featured a stall shower instead of one with a tub, which I would have preferred. I stayed for two days while taking a seminar at the Mayo Clinic, however upon arrival back at my room at 5pm the first day my room was still not made up. About half and hour later housekeeping finally came by. The carpet and trim was tore and mismatched in parts. the staff was helpful enough and I slept well, good beds. Also very close to the clinic, could have walked the trails to the seminar in the morning if everything wasn't under construction. Pricing was fair, although after the state of the place I would have looked elsewhere. Another college was able to book a resort room not far away for nearly the same price.

Short drive from hotel
On the Mayo Clinic grounds so very convenient if visiting patients or attending a seminar. Also the beach and a number of restaurants are a short drive away too.

Nice place and stay
My husband was having surgery @ Mayo clinic and we had a room w/ 2 queen beds for 2 nights. I stayed w/ him @ the hospital and my mother in law, daughter, and his cousin and her daughter stayed in the room the first night. He was discharged the day after surgery and just he and I used the room the next night. We loved that there were multiple pillows on the bed, esp great following his surgery. The hotel was quiet and very clean. It isn't far from the beach...a short drive and not far from some great Jacksonville shopping and restaurants. I def recommend if you are seeking treatment @ Mayo as I could be in Mayo Hospital after a short walk on their beautiful grounds. For the rate we paid, prob one of the better places we have ever stayed. We thought that the rate we chose thru [...] included breakfast because it said rate includes breakfast in the hotel info[...]but you actually have to click on a more expensive rate for the breakfast when it list the room options. Luckily, I printed out the page that stated includes breakfast and the hotel did honor it. Another reason, I was happy we stayed there! We were there over a Fri. night and was disappointed to learn that room service/dining room w/ the exception of breakfast is not avail on Fri and Sat.

nice place
The hotel was in a good location, close to family and it was neat and clean. We requested queen beds and got them. The only down side was not being able to get Mariott reward points because I booked it on this site.

the staff was great but........
I wish there was a microwave in our room. It's a popular option. Room has an old and warn out feeling. Room was colorless and a bit depressing. When we first arrived we noticed a mustiness and we wondered if that would trigger allergies. Luckily, the air conditioner eventually cleared that up. It is an expensive hotel and we wish they could brighten it up a bit. The dining room felt like a cafeteria at a hospital. the food was just o.k. However, we appreciated the fact that we could walk over to the clinic, glad there was an elevator, glad the air-conditioner worked and that it was not too noisy. So maybe a little paint, better food and feel in the dining room, and a little microwave in the room would be enough to help the customer feel that he is getting his moneys worth.

Quiet and Clean
I was looking for a hotel that was easy to check in and out of and that i could sleep in without disruption. I slept great with soft pillows and it was very quiet. The room was clean and didn't smell funny at all. I will stay there on my next visit!
