Embassy Suites Jacksonville - Baymeadows

very uneventful, just what i wanted just stayed on the way to Miami

I'll never use Orbitz again. I was stuck in a smoking room that was smelly, dirty, and generally unappealing. Aside from The Omaha Steakhouse which was excellent, the hotel had a dirty feel to it, the staff was not friendly, and the breakfast buffet area seemed institutional like and generally unsanitary. No thanks

Despite a glitch in room assignment, check-in was efficient and smooth. The suite was clean and comfortable; the staff courteous. The sheltered courtyard area and their other advertised amenities made the stay great. Check-out was a breeze. Nice.

Good location to beach and downtown. Hotel is older and is in need of updates. Rooms are smaller the we anticipated. We are use to more spacious rooms. Elevators are very slow. Disappointed hotel did not offer complementary fresh coffee throughout the day. We has to ask for individual coffee packets at front desk (coffee maker in room). Did not have ice machine on our floor so, we had to go down one level.Staff was friendly and helpful. We will seek others hotels in the area when we return.

Hotel very good, but it hase some age and it showes. Nice stay.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had, they did not have the proper room available when we arrived and wondered how I was going to sleep 4 on a King bed. they gave us the handicapped room which had the most disgusting bathroom I have ever seen, may not have ever been cleaned. I would never stay there or recommend anyone stay there. They were very unaccomodating and rude. Basically the place was a DUMP

Our daughter was enlisting inthe Navy and this was the hotel they contract with so I wanted to stay where she was staying but wow 150.00 for one night is rather steep you would think they would give the families of these children some type of discount.

I had to go to Jacksonville for the funeral of my father who died July 18 in Jacksonville. I have stayed in the Embassy Suites on other occasions but this was definitely the worst. The toilet was broken and constantly running the whole time we were there, even though I went to the front desk and asked to have it fixed. They assured me it would be. The outside balcony had either a bees nest or a wasp's nest and made it very difficult to use the balcony (I made my son smoke outside NOT in the room). There was a family reunion over the weekend and the were in the hallways until 2 am making sleeping quite difficult. There was absolutely NO parking when I came back to the hotel around 10pm Saturday 7/24 night due to a wedding and the family reunion. The pool was also dirty and finally closed due to someone vomiting in it! I would say that this stay was difficult enough due to my family circumstances but the hotel was definitely not up to its previous performances. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE AND WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!

Overall the stay at Embassy Suites was great. There was one unfavorable incident that happened, but we made sure it did not ruin our trip. Most of the staff was very friendly and asked if we needed anything. The breakfast, there is no comparison and the afternoon manager reception is one of a kind. This is what keeps us coming back for more.

Although the staff was very good and the service was great, the room was so noisy due to the location right above roof with circulators going as well as the old airconditioning system that you could hear all night.
