Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites JACKSONVILLE - MAYPORT / BEACH

It was my 39th birthday and I needed to getaway, I found this hotel to be very quiet and peaceful, this was a day well spent to have some relaxation. Thanks.

Everything was great.

Convienent Location, minutes away from Mayport Naval station, Downtown Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach. There are many excellent food resturaunts in the area. Excellent Customer Service and very friendly. My check in time was 3 pm they got me in to my room at 11am. The Room was very clean, no smell what so ever as in some places. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was well set up. The only thing I didn't like as others didn't was the walls aren't insulated soo you can hear people clearly in the hallways and in rooms next to yours.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was great. The location to the beach was ideal for our trip. My only complaint was the noise level. The walls were very thin and telephone conversations, noises of a sexual nature and arguing in the rooms on both sides of ours could be heard along with people conversating in the halls. We could also hear a dog barking down the hall.

We came down as a family for a little weekend getaway. The hotel we stayed at on a previous trip was booked, so I had to find another, and, although I was a little leery to try something different[...]. We had a wonderful time! The hotel was great and the price was even better! The kids loved the pool, although, if you're an adult it's kind of small. For the kids it was too deep or too large. We could allow them to play freely without having to worry much about them getting too far away. The rooms were also very nice, clean, and had a stylish decor. We had rooms on the first floor near the pool which was a plus! The staff was courteous and addressed all or needs promptly and the complimentary breakfast was good too. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the location is kind of inconvenient. It seems as though the hotel was built as an afterthought in the neighborhood in which it's in. It's not too far from great shopping or the beach, but we were in for a good little drive whenever we decided to go out. We would definitely stay there again if we were to come to Jacksonville with the family again, but if we came as a young couple looking to have a little fun and sun, we'd definitely choose to stay somewhere closer to the "action"!

You could hear your neighbors at all hours of the day. In fact they woke you when you were sleeping. There seemed to be no sound insulation between rooms. Period. The front desk did, however, contact the rooms next to us immeaditely after our complaints. How do I know? I heard the room phone ring right away. As a professional builder I know sound insulation does work, but they must have overlooked it here.

great new hotel with up to date amenities, a bit out of the way...

Visited Hanna Park and beach this trip. We had a great time visiting family and friends at the campground. Our hotel was conveniently located near the beach and campground. The hotel staff were very helpful and the comfort and cleanliness of the room were excellent!
