Perfect for the Price
The room was very clean, a great value for the money... When in Jacksonville, this is my hotel of choice... I was in room 214, the only issue I had was I kept stubbing my toe on the door stop...

We had no hot water for our two night stay. The fitted bottom sheet would not stay on the bed.

Long term stays W/ Homestead
The room was very nice for a long stay type hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. The problems were the floor was in need of a good cleaning (carpet), and cockroaches in room. After extending my stay by one day AND informing the front desk of this, I got back to my room that night after the front desk closed (by two minutes)to find I was locked out of my room. I just stood in the parking lot and cried. I was so tired and stressed and all I wanted was to get to my insulin (which was locked inside) and go to sleep. The front desk had 2 days to have me bring in my code key but never bothered to tell me this was necessary. I told them at check in that we would be staying an extra day. The emergency phone outside the office should be painted red so people can see it. I finally got a human to come in to the office and fix my code key! Thanks lodes for the drama, I'm sure my nerves really needed the prospect of sleeping in my car.

St. Johns Town Center is right across the street. If you can't find it there it does not exist! Shopping, restaurants, pharmacy, you name it!

my clothes now stink!
Homestead aka. BATES MOTEL
I requested a non-smoking room. I guess that meant, non-smoking that day?! Upon entering, the room smelled like old cigaretts and dirty socks. I found myself not feeling comfortable in sleeping in anything other than Jeans and one of my dress shirts, as I was afraid of what crustations and/or mites would be found in my bed. The iron was broken, only 10 channels on the television, and the Lord only knows who or what sort of cleaning products are used to sanitize each room. I have NEVER been more disgusted with a place as I was here. Just in case you are wondering, I will not be back!
