Red Roof Inn Jacksonville Southpoint

Upon my arrival to check in. Once I did check in I was assigned to a smoking room which I requested a non-smoking room. Then I received a call from the front desk saying I was selling drugs from my room which was a insult. I was never given an apology by the front desk. There was no iron only a ironing board. Other than that the location was near other restaurants and stores.

The hotel and staff was really nice however there was a problem with the cleanliness of the room and I feel housekeeping needs to do a better job of ensuring all the rooms are maintained and kept clean at all times!

This is my second time staying at this hotel. Both times I have found that it is a good value for the price I paid. Though it is not a luxury hotel, the location is ideal & safe and the rooms are clean & spacious. I asked the clerks behind the counter for general information and they lacked the knowledge & information. I did need to request for hand & face towels to be put into the room and they accomdated my request. Overall, I feel I got a good value for what I paid. I spent most of the day out & about anyway and used the room to sleep in and get ready in the morning. The mattresses could use replacement but I was able to sleep well through the night. I give it a 3 1/2 stars.

Hotel staff friendly and accomodating. Room appeared clean and neat, however, had strong musty odor. Later learned while using restroom, water was under the wood laminate flooring and would stay wet at all times. Coffee pot in room did not have carafe and part of the top was missing. Room had ironing board, but had to request iron to use. As previously stated, staff accomodating, so provided iron, & towels when requested. Although accomodating, would not intentionally request this hotel again.

Hotel room was nice and clean, alot of road noise from the main 4 lane highyway and also lot of noise from room above. No breakfast, just coffee. But, major fastfood rest. are just around the corner.

Most people were very friendly and helpful at the front desk. However our room was not cleaned for 4 of the 5 days we where there, yes we did ask. We requested towels for the 5 of us daily. Trash was placed out side the door because of baby diapers and remained there for 2 days. We ran out of toilet paper. We would leave every day about 10 am and tell the front desk room needed to be cleaned. We would arrive home 9 or 10 pm, and it was not. When I checked out I told the front desk and she said I would be get 1 night free stay next rr stay. Will not stay again. thanks

My family and I enjoyed our stay, but we believe the hotel has selective rooms for guest with animals to stay in and that was extremely disappointing because we brought our little yorkie. Overall, customer service was ok and the pool was fun.

The rooms were not cleaned very well (items were left over from the previous guests), there were issues with the television and I had to switch rooms at 10 p.m. I feel that the bedding possibly had bed bugs or was not cleaned properly because I woke up several times during the night due to itchy-ness. There are more negative aspects about this establishment than good ones. Don't stay here. There are better places and that is where I will be staying next time I'm in town.

The front desk man was extremely helpful and friendly, but that is pretty much where the amenities ended. There was no iron or blowdryer in the room, which even the cheapest of motels provide,and the room looked run down. The nail in their coffin was the lack of continental breakfast...come on...the hotel down the street were charging the exact same price, but was miles ahead...not at all impressed and probably will not willingly return.

I really can't speak negative about the hotel. It was just what I paid for a place to sleep for a night. It could use a little something special to enhance the lobby.
