stinky, stinky and stinky

I will believe that if there was a human body hiding in the room because the stinky smell was just extremely disgusting. When my girlfriend and I went inside the room, the smell was really awful and I didn't sleep at all for whole night, NOT EVEN A SECOND. Only good thing is that powerful and comfortable shower and free wifi; however, cup of coffee for breakfast, extremely old decorations every where, and the most important thing : the photos on here are totally not the same quality over there. Don't waste your money in this hotel for saving few money.

Glad I only had to stay two nights!

The hotel room was dirty...there were burns in the carpet and it smelled like smoke though it was a non-smoking room. Our deadbolt on our door did not work, so we were left with the hotel chain for protection overnight. We put in a request to get the door fixed and the management seemed like it was not a big deal and it was to be done the next day. at 9AM, a stranger came busting through the door, into our hotel room and then said "Oh, wrong room". That's how we were awaken! I again complained to management and they got to fixing it. The whole experience was unsafe and distrubing. And no compenstation was offered by management. Instead I was told " this is a safe neighborhood". Yea so safe, the door doesn't lock and people can just walke right into your room!

HORRIBLE!

This was the worst hotel I've EVER been in. I'm not sure where to start, when I first arrived the manager seemed as if I was an inconvenience to him by even showing up. His dress attire was consisted of a wrinkled button up shirt with holes, yes holes in his khaki pants which were also wrinkled. The outside of the hotel was descent not looking bad at all; the inside however was a total different story. When my girlfriend and I walked in we both just stopped and stared for a moment, it was terrible. The smell of cigarette smoke knocked us down when we opened the door, then when we put our bags on the bed we noticed it had cigarette burns on the blanket I'm talking nickel and quarter size burns. On the ceiling you could see poor patch work, which I'm assuming when the roof was leaking, the TV had missing buttons so you either were going to watch the TV on loud or nothing at all, the remote control for the TV, yea the batteries were dead I had to use the batteries out of my razor to turn the volume up and down and change the channels. The bathroom ah yes the bath room, let's see first off the door was literally off the hinges, we couldn't open nor close the door because it was hanging off the frame. The toilet seat was broken and sliding off the toilet, the toilet itself wasn't securely mounted to the floor so that wobbled too. I was going to take a shower, when I turned the water faucet brown water came out, after about 5 min it cleared up, then I tried to take a shower but the water pressure out the shower head resembled that of a water gun. My girlfriend sat on the edge of the tub to take her bath, because I didn't recommend her sitting in the tub itself. When she plugged in her hair dryer, roaches (yes more than one or two) came scattering out of the electrical socket. Both of us walked around in our shoes because of fear that we would catch some kind of foot itch. Luckily she had Lysol to spray the bed down before we got it in. Now let's go back outside where the kids, teenagers and college, were outside running around hanging out in the parking lot making all kind of noise. We got back from going out to eat around 10pm we didn't go to bed until 4am because of the noise, the police where outside at least 4 cop cars where shining lights in windows of hotels and you could pretty much hear everything through the paper Mache walls. Now you're probably wondering why I didn't just call the front desk, well I tried but the phone in the room was dead! All this happened on the FIRST night we were there, needless to say after the phone not working in the room we called and booked another room at a hotel further away, we couldn't stay another night there. When I tried to get my money back for at least one day she (the manager) gave me attitude and said that it wasn't possible to get it back. I just said screw it, and left. I wouldn't let a homeless person stay there it was that bad, I'm surprised that place hasn't been condemned yet I don't see how you run a business like that. I wish I could give out negative stars for this place, and have them change the name to the Roach hotel. It was Halloween weekend so I'm hoping this was just a theme that they were doing and not a day to day thing, this truly was a nightmare hotel. Sincerely displeased

smoke smell in the non-smoking bed

Streets to and from hotel are difficult to navigate. Contenental breakfast ran out before we arrived. Pillows and bed smelled of cigarette smoke in non-smoking room.

Hotel Sucks ...

When I turned on the shower the first day, hardly any water pressure to take an adequate shower. Next day, the pressure was there, but it squealed the whole time I was in the shower. Room was badly painted. Stong smoke smell even though it was listed as non-smoking. Air Condition knob was broke, and no settings to tell me what is on and off and so forth. Could not close the curtain all the way, anybody could walk by at any time and see right into my room without any effort. The lamp post in the corner on top of a wooden cabinet did not work at all. The only thing I liked was that the cable seemed to work, and I could watch the NCAA games.

Gate River Run Weekend

This hotel was disgusting, there wasn't even a fitted sheet on the bed. The shower was gross and there was so much going on outside our room in the parking lot, it sounded like an episode of Jerry Springer.

Decent for the price

I was there on business, so I basically only went there to sleep. If you intend to stay here on vacation, I wouldn't recommend it. You get what you pay for. It's not super-clean. Things are in some disrepair. Wireless internet is free. My room had only a TV, but my next-door neighbor (who paid the same price) had a TV, fridge, and microwave. My biggest complaint was that they advertise a continental breakfast, but all they have is coffee, nasty, colored sugar-water that they pass off as juice, and a few nasty vending-machine HunnyBun pastries. Horrid. I went elsewhere for breakfast. But seriously, near-downtown accomodations for $40 - can't beat it.

you get what you pay for...

I wondered how many actual CSI events had occurred in the room prior to out arrival...it was not very clean, there was rust and grime in the bathroom, and the bed linens were questionable at best (cigarette burn holes in the blanket, no fitted sheet on bed, dirty pillows). But hey, it was $35...so, you get what you pay for.
