Pay the extra money to stay some place better.
I called the front dest before we left CT and were told that there was transportation to and from the hotel from the airport. NOT TRUE. I was quoted $175 or so with a discount coupoud it came to $145 per night. There was a couple who checked in before us and got the same room for $89 per night just for walking in. They say they have a bar but its not open. The room we were given was 90 degrees because the ac didnt work. Tried to call the front desk using the room phone was unable to do so because it didn't work. The lights in the bathroom didnt work. we were moved to another room wich was less than desirable. Beds were hard and not confy. Please save your money and go somewhere else.

One night
I only stayed at this hotel one night, the night before Miami Marathon, so my experience is rather limited. Overall, for my purpose, the location and the price were perfect. The room was specious and clean. The staff did a great job to accommodate me, especially when I needed a couple of extra hours to check out. I was disappointed that it provided no wifi (except in the lobby), and not even a coffee machine or a small refrigerator in the room. And overall, I don't have a complaint.

Not bad for the price!
We were staying here for 4 days. The location was pretty good and easy to get there. The rooms were clean and is pretty acceptable for what we need, which was a good bed to sleep and a not expensive hotel in downtown(the hotel next to us was $200 at night). Believe me my friends were staying in a "hotel" down the street like maybe 6 blocks away from this one and that one look like one of those where you take some girls from the corner around 1am no lie. Over all this was a cool hotel.

Good Value
Needed a place to stay the night before our cruise. This place is perfect for a short period of time. Close to cruise port with a $6 shuttle. Free wifi in lobby and free breakfast in the morning. Rooms were big and clean. Needs renovations but for the price you get what you pay for.

That's a averige hotel
The staff is very friendly. The hotel is a quite in front of Metromover and all the Miami transportation system. However the hotel needs maintenance and improving its continental breakfasts.

Good location but not very comfortable
There is no wireless in the bedroom, the air con gets quite cold in the evening and there was a machine inside the room doing a constant noise throughout the night.

Average weekend getaway
It's a nice place to stay, the rooms are big the bed is big, it's comfortable. The staff is polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend it to evryone that is visiting Miami for a weekend or a short period of time. The location is in downtown, so it's close to most of the things you need.

Funky place
This is a hotel where real people stay, not business people with expense accounts or upper middle class tourists. Owner and staff are great. There's an honest to goodness Botero sculpture in the lobby and giant bronze lions out front! Room was clean, spacious, great view of the river, but one sink faucet didn't work, and the t.v. had no remote control, no 'fridge. Little pool outside was unused (cold water, and I didn't see any filtration going on). Homeless men sleep outside under the nearby bridges, so running in the morning wasn't an option. But if you are attending a conference at the Hyatt next door, you can save a bundle by staying here. Oh - breakfast doesn't include anything healthy to eat: white bread/toast, pre-packaged danish with tons of preservatives in them, and so on. Two large bags of breakfast cereal, milk, juice, coffee (not the tastiest)...I bought individual servings of Cheerios at the CVS (5 minute walk).

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Lots of great choices for lunch, but most cater to the M-F, 9-5 crowd, and close in the early evening. There are a few nice options, though. You have to look around, and ask.
