Convenient downtown Miami location
Within walking distance to varied ethnic eateries, including a great Columbian place for breakfast. The small grocery store had a variety of Latin coffees. I'd stay there again.

Better deals at hostels
There is a lot of room for improvement at this hotel. The staff was great and very helpful. There seemed to be many leaks in the hotel main lobby, with possible presence of mold. This is something that needs to be fixed. The rooms are large and have basic amenities. They are lacking a refrigerator. Each room has it's own ac unit, which is rather loud. The windows are single pane and don't really block out the sound of the freeway new to the hotel. The beds are very, wait very firm. They remind me of a spring board. The restaurant in the hotel is now closed, and the hotel pool looked like something you would find in the near by everglades. Really in all thought, this hotel is a wonderful deal, you cannot beat the location and the near by public transport. I guess with all those improvements you would be paying a lot more.

Great location, great price!
Was in Miami for WMC. Hotel location was just a mile from all the downtown clubs, and metro mover was just out front, so cab fare was able to be kept to a minimum.

Good location for conferences
I was shocked to see all of the disapproving comments on here about River Park. I actually had a fantastic stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful, putting my colleagues and myself all on the same floor. The view of the Miami River was gorgeous, my room was cleaned every day, and it was quiet and comfortable.

OK
Room was clean enough, and most people friendly enough. You have to pay for a safe in the room, but that's OK, just $2 per day. There is no refrigerator. The bad things, there is internet only in the lobby, not in the rooms + the elevators are kind of old and slow (better to use the stairs) + just one desk person was unfriendly. The rest was OK, location just around the corner of the HYATT, where I had my conference. So, I guess I saved some money by staying there while attending the HYATT conference. There is a small supermarket close by and plenty of small restaurants.

Alright Hotel
Went the weekend of Ultra Music Festival. Was in good 6 dollar taxi away. The bathroom door was jammed and took a really good push to have it shut. And the something was wrong with the shower head. Its was an ok hotel though.

Good People
The room was ok a little noisy. The staff was ok. I did not care for the service [...] I wanted a room with Two beds and they gave me a reservation for one bed. I specifically told the operator I wanted Two beds. When I got to the hotel I had to pay extra to upgrade my room to a two bed room.
