River Park Hotel and Suites - Port of Miami

Elevators barely worked, ice machines barely worked if you could find them, pool was gross with no chairs to sit in, the room had broken things (lamp, tv), shower had only cold water and the room looked like it had not has a through cleaning ever. Some of the staff was rude, and demanded cash for anything extra that was needed, and even though I had requested late check out, had gotten rude staff opening my door every 30 minutes to get me out starting at 11am. The only benefit was closeness to BF, but unless you can live with a horrible hotel for that closeness, stay away.

This hotel sold my guaranteed room and had no rooms available when I arrived. I was switched to a horrible, disgusting, extremely dirty hotel miles and miles from the downtown.

Besides not having a parking/transfer area, disinterested staff and a rather out-dated and dirty hotel, it was fine. I can't see how it earned the 2 stars it did receive.

This was my worse Hotel experience. The Hotel was old and needs renovating. The room was not clean and did not have linens. The Hotel staff was horrible and not friendly. The parking was very expensive. The only positive was the location. It is right on the river and close to the American Air Line Arena.

this place is terrible, the staff barely speak english, the room is not in good shape, moldy bathroom ceilings, electrical outlet that was not attached to a wall stud or had a cover on it, the phone did not work, the in room safe did not work, homeless people sleeping on the park bench next to the pool. Pay the extra money and stay at the Holiday Inn a few blocks away.

I was going on a cruise and used this hotel to spend just one night, figured how bad could it be...the price seamed right comparing to what was around. The lobby looked ok...but the room was very very out of date and to be honest just dirty and not pleasant to be in. It was a big room but had a small bed which was very uncomfortable. The toilet and the bath were discusting...I had to stay in my flipflops. The continental breakfast was a joke (do not even bother going)...so I ended up going out for breakfast. That's the one good thing though, there is a nice place or two around that you can grab a good meal and if you realized you forgot to bring something (as I did) there is a Macy's within walking distance. Use only if you absolutely have to, otherwise i would recommend staying somewhere else.

The hotel failed to mention that there is a $25 parking fee a day for valet parking because the hotel itself doesn't have a parking lot. The valet parking isn't valet either... They park cars in a lot where the gate is open and homeless people live. I've never seen anything like it before. Don't buy any food for the room because the rooms don't have a microwave nor a refrigerator and there is also a $70 hidden fee for a deposit, so bring extra cash.

Cheap, Old and smells. I was given a shower cap in place of a bucket for ice. Nothing like its pictures and parking is $25 for the night, rediculous for such a bad hotel.

I called the front dest before we left CT and were told that there was transportation to and from the hotel from the airport. NOT TRUE. I was quoted $175 or so with a discount coupoud it came to $145 per night. There was a couple who checked in before us and got the same room for $89 per night just for walking in. They say they have a bar but its not open. The room we were given was 90 degrees because the ac didnt work. Tried to call the front desk using the room phone was unable to do so because it didn't work. The lights in the bathroom didnt work. we were moved to another room wich was less than desirable. Beds were hard and not confy. Please save your money and go somewhere else.
