The Claridge is a pretty hotel with very clean rooms and comfy beds. The hotel is very close to the beach you just need to walk across the street. The only downside is there is not much within walking distance. As we had rainy weather there is not much to do close to the hotel.

Nice Hotel for Price
Hotel was very clean and staff was great. Not a bad location. Hotel was $10 CAB ride to where the action is.

Get to know the staff and kindly ask where the locals go. We were referred to a very authentic Cuban diner that was close but slightly off the beating path. What a neat experience......

Customer service needs improvement
I would not recommend this hotel the service was lacking. Check in was at 3 PM, which was okay I made use of my time heading to the beach and checking out the local scene. I came back at around 8 PM my luggage was still in storage and the person by the desk did not even offer to help me with my luggage to my room. My room was hot at times and the air conditioner was loud. I asked for a room away from the street and was told all the rooms were booked.the restaurant in the hotel was bad and over priced I made a mistake of having breakfast at the restaurant and paid too much for a stale croissant and poorly cooked omelet, even the coffee was bad.

If you are unlucky enough to stay at this place you can always take the bus either S or 120 to Lincoln Road, there is a great breakfast place called Paul with authentic French pastries and good breakfast selection for a very resonable price and the coffee is very good. Cab ride one way can easily cost 12 bucks a pop. The bus will only cost 2 bucks or get the day pass for 5 bucks unlimited rides on all the buses, trains, and trams. Happy travels!

Clarridge Hotel
It's a good hotel for just resting your head. The check in time is really late 3:00pm, and hated the fact that they charged extra for parking.

Ummmm NO
NOT AGAIN!
This hotel is nice. It does look like the pictures online. However, I would NOT stay here again. The front desk gentleman was extremely rude and lazy. FYI when you check in, they add a $9.95. check in charge. I wouldn't have a problem with it if the front desk gentleman could explain WHY? He said I don't know, it's just our policy. Also, I reserved 4 rooms and specifically chose this hotel because it had parking (which is an extreme rip off at $22. BUT...... was willing to pay it. Guess what??? No parking spots available! I have never heard of this! No valet either so where do I park??? Very inconvenient. Anyway, I guess my biggest problem was the staff and parking. I'm not a high maintenance person but this was pretty unacceptable.

should of stayed somewhere else
We had to wait until after 4 pm to check in as the room was not ready. Nobody ever called us to let us know it was ready when it was. Hot water did not work. They had additional charges for features of the hotel like wifi??! Resturant attached to hotel was not good- very salty meals and very expensive.

OK if you're on a budget
My first impression was good - hotel and room are small but clean and nice enough. Three things that I was unhappy about: 1) The wifi signal was terrible in my room, I honestly had better signal at the bus stop across the street; 2) Not a fan of hidden fees, and they will hit you with a daily $11 "resort fee" for the newspaper, wifi, pool, etc. even if you don't use any of these things. This is not included in the orbitz package price. 3) My room was right next to the restaurant, and pretty much every night around 11:30/midnight they would make a huge racket cleaning pots & pans. I called the front desk and they basically said the restaurant is a separate entity, they can't make them stop, but they will let them know they are bugging guests. They let them know, and the noise continued. Not cool as I was in town for a conference and had to get up early.

Long walk from hotel
There are few restaurants on this end of the beach, you really have to walk or ride south quite a ways, everything up here is really over-priced (including the restaurant in the hotel).
