South Beach Villas

We booked this room with high hopes, given the great location and the reasonable price. Unfortunately, the only thing this room had to offer was space - it was larger than your average hotel room, including a full kitchen and dining area - and a great location - walking distance from Ocean Drive beaches and restaurants, Espanola Way's shops, Lincoln Road shopping, and surrounding nightlife. Size and location were really the only pluses. The experience was quite negative, on the whole. Car - There is only valet service - no self-park option. On the second day we were there, the valet took more than 45 minutes to bring the car around. They would claim the car would be ready in 5 minutes but it usually took them 15 minutes at leas, to bring the car around. This may seem nitpicky but when you are trying to plan your vacadtion day, having to build in half an hour for valet delays is absurd. Bugs - The kitchen was teeming with ants and other gnat-like bugs. They got into everything. Stove/ oven - Out of service Windows - The windows were so thin and poorly affixced to their frames that they might as well have been open, in terms of the sounds they let in. Further, the blinds were broekn with several wooden slat ends missing. The hotel tried to conceal the broken blinds by placing a mirrored shelf in front of them but it was not fooling anybody. Acoustics - The walls and windows seemed paper thin. There was screaming/ crying babies, angry drunken conversations in the streets and alleys below, and you could hear a pin drop in the hallway, regardless oof which of the three floors in the villas you were staying on. Every door opening and closing, every footstep on the stairs, every conversation. It was contnstant and at all hours of the day and night, making it virutally impossible to get any sleep or nap without ear plugs. This is not hyperbole. The bed - Large but incredibly uncomfortable. Like sleeping on a board, with flimsy pillows to boot. Air - the room was never comfortable, temperature wise. It was always either too cold or too hot. And the thermostat was confusing as all get out. Housekeeping - Bless their hearts, but none of them spoke English, which made simple requests for things like more soap, towels, toilet paper, etc incredibly frustrating. It seems to me a professional/ quality hotel management team should at the very least ensure that their houseleeping staff had the basic words and phrases down, given their responsibilities. Not at this hotel. I tell you, even if they lowered the prices dramaticallty, even if they gave us a free room, we wouldn't stay there again. A spacious room and a short walk to the attractions cannot possibly make up for the dreadful experience described above.

The experience was very good. We have a great time and enjoyed our stay in Miami Beach.

it was really a bad decision. We will never repeat this mistake. We visited some hotels of the same price around, and they were much better. unfortunately, no rooms available.

The location is excellent, but we stay two nigths and the room was't clean when we arrive the second night. The air conditioning had a drip, that sounded all night and made a terrible swamp in the floor. There was not enough space to put the luggage, and the noise late at nigth didn't let as sllep, despite the continuos drop from the air conditioner. At breakfast one of the toast heaters wasn{t working, and it took long time to warm up the baggels. But at the end we had a good time.

room was tiny to have a king bed in there, no smoking in the entire hotel!, breakfast was cheap(they have mini bagels with a sign that says 1 per person!)come on!! aside from that the few footsteps to the beach was the best part

Great location , rooms were clean and great staff...

I reserved my hotel months in advance and prepaid I arrived at 8pm The room I reserved with a king bed was not available. I was shown another room that was dark and gloomy at night and also in the day because it was long and narrow. The next day I was shown a much smaller room on the ground floor and opted to keep my room in the back on a higher floor because I thought it would be quieter The staff was very nice The room was clean and tidy The sink in the bathroom is under a cabinet that comes out 12inches from the wall. This makes it difficult to shave and brush your teeth without hitting the cabinet. The room was on the alley and so the garbage trucks were the alarm clock every morning at 7am I do not recommend the hotel on Sat night as the alley was also a scene of screaming arguments at 2, 3:30 and 4 AM The photos on line are deceptive regarding the charm and coziness of the rooms

Hotel is in an excellent location if you want the whole tourist experience. Staff was very nice. Rooms are alright, walls are thin. Unfortunately you can hear everything outside your door.

great expecially the guy who say hi...kaval or kemaal.... worth to go there location clean rooms everithing is ok for that money :)))))

It is good fo a group of guys on the town! I would not bring a girl to the hotel - it is too basic.
