The Catalina Hotel and Beach Club Rooms

Classic Comfort
Your coming to South Beach to have a good time but don't want to skimp on comfort. You like to have some extra room and a desk to send a few emails to your colleagues back at work who aren't as lucky as you. More mature in design, these rooms feature dark wood and ivory furnishings with Tempur-pedic mattresses, 100% cotton linens, and spa bathrobes. 190 square feet - perfect for 2, can accommodate up to 4.
B-Room
"B" is for business, NOT boring. You're coming to South Beach to work but will be sure to make time to play. You're looking for a quiet, spacious, comfortable room where you can work and relax. You expect your room to have a desk, a plasma TV, complimentary wireless and daily newspaper delivery, in addition to our legendary Tempur-pedic mattresses, 100% cotton linens and spa bathrobes. When it's time to relax you are an elevator ride away from our rooftop pool.
On a Budget
You're on a budget and you need a clean room to shower and a comfortable bed to sleep between beach, bar and restaurant hopping. For the young at heart and backpackers in spirit. We wouldn't exactly call this a hostel - as they still come fully loaded with Tempur-pedic mattresses, 100% cotton linens, spa bathrobes and the Catalina signature red & white decor. 125 square feet

Dining

Maxine Restaurant & Bar
The Maxine Restaurant at The Catalina Hotel & Beach Club is open and serves breakfast all day long! The Challah bread French toast is already known to be the best on South Beach. Located in our North building the restaurant, caf, and bar is a great place to people watch while enjoying cocktails and delicious treats.
Kung Fu Sushi
Kung Fu Sushi is an eclectic mix of sushi and Asian food with a real kick. The menu ranges from Seabass to Japanese Red Snapper Rolls, and you'll definitely want to cleanse the palate with signature sake cocktails like the Tokyo Rose or Japanese Jade. The delicious and affordable fare is served amidst dcor that is just as impressive. Partnering with famed artist Lebo to showcase his work, this sexy mod-Asian bistro will offer a complete experience for your senses. As the choice of unique establishments offered becomes increasingly limited in Miami Beach, travelers can continue to rely on the South Beach Group as the source for lifestyle hotels and restaurants that are always original and interesting.

Would definitely go back

Really enjoyed this hotel. Location was very convenient to everything, rooftop pool was awesome, and the staff were very nice and helpful. Typical for older hotels, the rooms are on the small side but beds were very comfortable and the shower was awesome. If you are expecting a modern amenitied, spacious room, pay the big bucks for something flashier, say the W, but if you like to use your money for other things and want I really nice little hotel, I highly recommned The Catalina. Going out to dinner-head straight over to The Yardbird for amazing southern fare. Next door at Maxine's the breakfast was great.

Retro but noisy

Clean, retro style hotel, 1 block from beach, and short walk to action in South Beach. Maxines was great and the people watching was crazy. Room was again retro style, clean, and looked out onto the street activity. South Beach never sleeps

Good value and good location

The hotel was a good price and in a great location, but the staff was rude and often unhelpful. The amenities were great - nice rooftop pool and a very short walk to the beach, with towels and beach chairs included at no cost.

A great place to stay!

This hotel was a great value! Both restaurants were really good! A little pricey but we loved that Maxine's was open 24/7. The beach was right down the street and it was definitely worth the short walk! Ocean Drive was only about a 10 minute walk. During our stay it was Art Deco Weekend and Ocean Drive had tons of vendors set up and it was a lot of fun. Overall this hotel was really great, although we were only there a short time so we didn't get to use all that it had to offer! This is a great place within walking distance of the beach, Lincoln Road and Ocean Ave.

Good Spot … No Hot Water

Great location … roof pool was great. Food and bars were great options and good prices. Bamboo pool attendant begs for tips which seems kind of unclassy. Have stayed in sister locations down Collins further and this is the best one of all of them.

Great spot - very good staff

Great situation. Beautiful garden and pool. Very comfortable mattresses. Only thing not so good, is the cleanliness of the carpets in the hallways. But there's not carpets in the room. And there's no fan in the bathroom. Excellent and very sympatic staff.

Chill out in Miami

perfect weather, perfect location (not right on the beach but across the street), The beach may be ok but when you have your own bed by the pool (go up early to stake your place) no extra charge!!!, private rooftop pool, limited number of people, a DJ spinning for you, easy access to reasonably priced drinks and food brought to you? mmm miss the beach?? Also located just 2 block from Lincoln road for food and shopping. The clubs are all over. Only issue we had was not enough hot water especially for bathing.

Perfect Getaway

It's within walking distance of all the hot spots, yet far enough away to just relax if you want to.
