Renovations?????
The hotel was in a great location! I ended up paying and extra $20 for a better room to just get a frig and microwave. I was only staying overnight with my son. I should have said the extra $$$ for other things like Universal and Islands of Adventure. Would more than likely stay again but get the cheaper room!!Oh and they said renovations had been done but the facet in the bathtub was so loose that it almost came out of the wall.One of the sinks drained so slow that I had to lift it with my finger to get the water out.

Just a day
The room was too warm when we went in. The A/C was too noisy and weak.It took about 4 hours just to feel cold air in the room. Called the front desk once and they sent staff.Second time that we let them know nobody came.

Best Western Orlando
I loved the location we were right down the street from Universal Park. The pool and hot tub were both at a great temperature. The only thing I did not like was the tax on the room at check out which was 3.50 per night. The hotel restaraunt breakfast was delicious !!! The grits were perfect !

honest details
Had to pay for basic tv. I had to look up basic news and entertainment on my laptop. No wifi in the rooms just the lobby, so you need to jack into the rooms RJ45. There was no free breakfast, had to have it billed to my room, from restrunt. Stay for the opening of the wizarding world of Harry Potter.

Walk to parks and attractions then back. The wait on shuttle service was bad. Under 3 miles one way. Do not buy basic items from Universal, there is a walgreens, At the corner of Universal Bld. and Indepdance.

ehh ok
This hotel was okay for an overnight stay for Halloween Horror Nights but would not stay for more than that! The room was in need of a little TLC, like AC wouldn't properly cool and bathroom was in need of some repair. Despite reserving a smoking room the entire hotel is smoke free, not a big deal [...].

Take a taxi to Universal, you have to pay for parking anyways and the taxi makes it so much easier. Tip don't have the hotel call your taxi, they charge more. The taxi from hotel to Universal Studios was $8 and the taxi from U.S. to hotel was $5 :/

okay for a night
the lobby looks updated but rooms were not although it did appear to be well kept as far as cleanliness. my boyfriend and I were there for just one night visiting for the Halloween attraction so it was only used for purposes as to shower and sleep.
