suited it's purpose
Hotel is located very close to Universal which was our main purpose for being in Orlando. Hotel was very old, rooms very small, beds even smaller. we have stayed in nicer three stars...

Minor problems resolved
The place was mobbed by teenagers the first two days we were there who were constantly riding the elevators up and down (not the hotels fault) and eating them out of house and home (which was funny)... However, the outside spa pool (hot tub, jacuzzi, whatever) was broken and unheated. The front desk staff was quick to contact another nearby Marriott and arrange us a guest pass to enjoy the outdoor hot tub over there. Since we were visiting all the theme parks and doing a lot of walking, having access to a hot tub was very important and the staff making arrangements was very much appreciated (it was only about 3 miles away.)

Travels with teenagers
Good place to stay
Clean, comfortable, good complementary breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff, very close to Universal Studios. I'd stay here again and recommend to friends. Didn't use them, but plenty of places to eat are close by.

Comfortable stay!
My family and myself found the hotel comfortable and convenient. Close and accesible to the Universal Studios as well restaurants and shopping. The staff was responsive as well. We really enjoyed the continental breakfast. Coffee was available all day which was a plus. Will definitely stay there for our next trip to Universal Studios.

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott
Had tix for a concert at the Hard Rock Cafe Theater in Universal Orlando CityWalk. To get to the venue you have to deal with distant parking and a bit of a walk to the theater. I chose this hotel in the hope of just getting a cab instead of driving over to the show. Worked out great. The guy at the front desk called a cab for me and it was around $8 dollars each way. Certainly a good call after a dozen bottles of Guinness during the show. For afterward there's an all night Burger King and an "Ale House" chain sports bar just a 5 minute walk across the hotel parking lot. In spite of it's proximity to the CityWalk nightlife the hotel was quiet after hours.

Great stay at the Fairfield
Close enough to walk to Universal AWESOME breakfast - love the oatmeal and Intl. Delight creamer Banging noise from AC and tub drip were fixed quickly helpful desk staff

Good price - Great location
The hotel is only a block or two from Universal Studios theme park. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and quiet.
