Radisson Hotel Orlando - International Drive

I was somewhat disappointed that when I got to the hotel, both the restaurant and the pool bar were closed and no room service was available. The gift shop also had strange hours. I believe their website should have specified that these were not available, as it would have impacted my decision greatly. In addition, I had an issue with my toilet in my room and I called to have it fixed and no one ever showed up so I dealt with it. Probably won't stay again.

Ordered Room service BUT discovered only 1/3 of the menu was available. Then phone didn't work since entree ordered never arrived. Staff claimed "technical difficulites". BEWARE!!

mistake in check in. The room key doesn't work properly. Try over 10 times, then you can get in. Leaking water in the corredor..And, resort fee is mandatory even you never use those.

When we came we found that it is a problem to take the shower: weak flow of almost cool water. The service man which we called asked us what we want: higher pressure or higher temperature. We said both. The shower head was fixed and temperature of water was increased. The room cleaners worked differently: some do the best, some did their work bad. Once the room cleaner did not come after 2:20PM (we stayed in the room with "do not disturb" until 2.20 PM). We found a smoking people in "no tobacco" areas. Just one cart was available when checked in, no cart when we checked out. (Actually I saw two carts during staying). The drive to the parking space has a poor pavement. It looks like the hotel has a lack of good management. Positive things: Our room have a lot of space. We asked for later check-out and were proposed 1 PM (instead of 12PM). YMCA facility is on site. Close to Orlando's attractions.

This hotel is Very clean. During our stay they were cleaning leaves etc from sidewalks and parking lot...shampooing hallway carpets and our room was spotless everyday. Somedays it was not cleaned til after 4pm but prob due to overworked staff because the staff we saw were always working hard and were very friendly. Furnishings were up to date and in good repair. Huge rooms! Good location, it was easy to get to everything either by car or walking. The Little Things: many light bulbs burnt out throught facility (dark walk to pool at night so we did not use it).....absolutely NO lighting in side parking lot (it was just my daughter and I so I went to desk and refused to park there..one of the front desk clerks kindly moved her car in the small well lit lot for us).....our smoke detector battery died and started chirping at 9pm and it took 3 calls to desk and almost 2 hours to get it fixed....My opinion is they need to revamp their maintenance dept.....lights need to be replaced and smoke detector batteries should NEVER be a problem if a hotel is properly maintained. The area seems safe, but with the amount of people walking well into the late hours, a pitch black parking lot is unacceptable. Safety, regardless of location is too big of an issue.

I visited for business travel. The staff was very polite and helpful. There is a decent bar/restaurant and a kiosk-style coffee and sandwich shop that serves Starbucks coffee. The room was clean and fairly newly renovated. The plumbing had some problems as the toilet was not seated properly and was leaking a bit and the water pressure in the shower was very low. If you use the gym it is actually at the adjacent YMCA and not in the hotel. No breakfast of any kind is included. But for $9/head you can get a really good buffet breakfast in the restaurant. The lobby is very nice. Nothing fancy but everything modern and a giant step up from the typical chains.

I ordered a handicapped room and it was not available when we arrived. We stayed in another room and had to move the next day to a handicapped room!! Also ran into odd fees for the use of the YMCA on the grounds, Wi-Fi and parking $10.00 daily. We found no use for any of those things. No food at the hotel or by the pool as advertised. Pool towels like paper towels. They DO have a Starbucks in the lobby and the staff is great! They made every attempt to make our stay a nice one.

This location is good for Universal, Seaworld and Disney. The Sleep number beds are old & tired we had two double beds that didn't operate properly terrible night sleep. When booking online it mentioned breakfast. At check in asked if there was breakfast the front desk said sure 6:30-11am breakfast buffet, didn't mention that it was $9.99 ea + tax + drinks, Food staff was great, we thought breakfast was included until we were given the bill. Upon checkout there was a $10.00 fee was told for maid service by the front desk? We checked out were about an hour away called front desk said we left phone charger in the room would be back the next day to pick up, horrible service regarding this from the front desk just didn't care should be simple to handle, was told maid would call never did. Called again later that afternoon told front desk situation wanted me to call back I asked to speak to a manager wouldn't allow that had taken my information down to give to the maid who didn't show up the next day. Went in next day no charger asked to speak to a manager front desk said no manager available! A great guy in maintenance helped me find a replacement in lost and found not my same one and offered to give me his out of his car I said this will do and thanked him for his help. Front desk people need customer service training in a big way.

the hotel apperance was pleasing, the room was nice with the exception of the bathroom which had a broken light fixture hanging over the shower. My friends and I were not pleased with the maid staff knocking on our door at 9am asking us what time we checked in and then not even apologizing for interrupting our sleep. We also didn't have much success when trying to inform the front desk of the situation at check out. But the price of the hotel was nice and the location was convenient to Universal Studios.

The hotel was excellent but I disagree with extra-charging $5.00 a day for resort fees outrages!
