There was no refrigerator, no microwave, and internet was not free. The staff was very good, and provided upon requests whatever we needed, but eating sandwiches out of an ice box got old. The pool was fantastic, as that is where we spent most of our time while at the motel. But for five bucks more a night somewhere else, we could have had refrigerator, microwave, and free internet.

stayed for the 4th of July because all other hotels were booked. The price was the best in the area. The A/C units in all the rooms were overly loud and needed work- maintenance guy came and looked at it but said the whole unit needed replaced- and it wasn't just my room, I could hear them doing the same all over the building. Again, the room was okay for the price but If you are a light sleeper...I would stay away.

The room was wonderful. They provided everything u would need for a home away from home stay. I plan to stay here again on my next trip back to pensacola. I was very pleased with this hotel.

Probably the best in Pcola for the money

Marriott has really done a great job with their Residence Inns. This is the second time we stayed at one, the first one was in JAX, FL. The cleanliness, color schemes and attention to detail has really impressed us. Our room had pretty much anything one wants for a 2-3 day stay (or longer): kitchenette- with silverware, plates, glasses, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, good size flat screen TV, etc. It almost felt like we were at one of the high end (4-5 stars) hotels. Quite frankly, some of the 4 stars hotels don't measure up to that. Location couldn't be any better: dead-smack in the middle of Pensacola, a block away from McGuire's Restaurant (a must-try-or-visit), super easy to get around town and very accessible to the freeways. Breakfast was hot, delicious and filling. One small detail that really stuck out for me: they had several different kinds of complimentary men's cologne in the men restrooms (don't know about the ladies' side). That is a touch that impresses! We'd definitely recommend it to anyone, including friends and family.

Great location, old world charm

I adore the setting of this hotel. The old train station makes for a charming and interesting lobby. The bathrooms are a bit tight, however it was not that big of an issue. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. I will stay here again. (do keep in mind, it was a TRAIN STATION...you may have noise but I was not bothered during restful hours.)

This Hotel was very clean and comfortable the staff was extremely friendly and professional they made us feel like family. The room was very neat and clean. This hotel has a peaceful historic feel. We were located a few minutes from Gulf Breeze Beach. I will stay here again!

This was my second stay at this hotel. The staff is consistently courteous and helpful. The rooms have been very comfortable. It is within walking distance to several restaurants and clubs.

This hotel was a perfect choice for my 10 year old son and myself. The room was clean and well decorated. My son loved the huge TV! The pool and hot tub were wonderful and refreshing after our trip to the beach a few miles away. I chose this hotel because we were attending a show at the Civic Center. The hotel was within walking distance if you choose to walk and is a very easy, uncomplicated drive if you choose to drive. The staff was so helpful and courteous and there were a variety of restaurants all around the hotel. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the firm mattress on the bed. They weren't uncomfortable, just not as soft as I'm used to.

This was my 2nd time staying here: the room was ok, no strong odors like first stay. There were a couple of men staying above us that intimidated us a little. They seemed like crackheads.

Amenities were all as promised. Location was excellent; we were 5 to 10 minutes drive from all destinations. Some negative comments; there was dirt & grime on the wall moldings in the bathroom; disgusting. The carpets were either very dark in color or needed scrubbing. Housekeeping did a GOOD JOB! The hotel was really clean, the continental bkfast was average. When we first checked in the young lady at the desk was very helpful and nice. But the next day she was replaced by someone not so nice. We had problems with our room keys and she made it seem as if it was our fault and did not apologize for the inconvienence. This happened two times during our stay. The pillows were extra small and a little hard.So would we stay here again ? Maybe.

Location is right off the interstate but still quiet. Amenities were great and so was breakfast but the weight machine in the gym was broken and appeared to have been for a while. The price seemed about $15 per night too high but overall was a good place.

For the most part the room was pretty peaceful. However, when I walked inside my room, it smelled like urine. Then I noticed that there was a condom wrapper on the floor, and there was no trash bag in the garbage can. The towels could have been a little whiter for usage. Breakfast was ok except the cereal were a bit stale.

When we arrived the desk clerk informed us that the handicap accessible rooms that i had reserved did not have working heaters. We were given a room upstairs, no elevators by the way, that was to have heat. Ran hvac for 15min and still was blowing cool air. Complained about it to front desk and was given another room, still the same problem. Also, the hallways and vestibule had big stains on the carpet and tile. Also don't be fooled by the picture, the front desk and lobby are in seperate building from the motel rooms in which is about 200 yards from the lobby.

This hotel is located about 10 minutes from downtown Pensacola. The staff gave great directions to the Seafood Festival. The hotel is located on a very busy highway, however I did not notice any noise from the highway. The pool was exceptionally good. The area was well maintained and had safety gates to protect younger children from entering without adult supervision. One end of the pool was 8 feet deep. All in all I would definitely stay there again. The free breakfast included sausage and biscuits as well as cold cereal and pastries. It's enough to keep the hunger pangs away until you're ready for lunch.

An overnight stop on the way home. It was out of the way a bit, but was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the heated indoor pool and the friendly staff. Close to several eateries.

Very unclean room, and very small. No fridge and the tv was very inconsistent. Bathroom was small and stained with little amenities. Perfect if all you want to do is sleep at the hotel and not really enjoy it.

1st, room wasn't ready, then room I got needed to be vacuumed. Then the tv did'nt work well, moved to another room, phone and lamps did'nt work. Then 3rd room was ok but it was only cleaned once the entire 5 days, one day was at my request not to be disturbed. Ice machines were broken and had to go to lobby to get ice and toilet paper. Terrible hotel!!!

This is a terrible motel. Rooms are old, run-down and not nice looking at all. Guests were nasty looking and noisy all day and night. No door on bathroom, no soap, no coffee, terrible parking lot. Just a nasty place to stay. Would not recommend to anyone. [...] Avoid at all costs.

I've stayed in many cheap hotels that were Spartan but still managed to be clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, at western inn, it's obvious no money has been sPent on upkeep in at least the last 20 years. Smelly and depressing... On the plus side, the air con did eventually bring the temp below 80, the fridge worked and the microwave got very small food items that would fit into it warm. I wish Pensacola had a youth hostel... PS unpleasant area!

Price fair, not the cleanest in area

We used this as a sleep only weekend while visiting area. Was not impressed with cleanliness, ie: bathroom floor and tub dirty. The housecleaning staff was apologetic but floor was not cleaned that day, I cleaned it. Broken lamp that sparked. Dresser and end table drawers did not stay closed. Needs updated repairs badly. Breakfast bar had a nice lay out. Staff was very polite.

When I first walked in there was a couple that was in an argument with the front desk clerks. It was about how the hotel does not allow more then 2 adults to a queen size room that has to beds... So that gave a great first impression. Then I was put into a smoking room that did not have a tv with RCA jacks... I was able to swap to a room with a non smoking room after I called back down. Just be warned that this is a hotel on the cheaper side.

This hotel was very nice. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Each member of the hotel staff was friendly. This was a very nice place to stay for the value. I will stay here each time I come to Pensacola, which is quite often .

The hotel was a nice comfortable stay. The bed and pillows were soft and clean and the bathroom was roomy. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

We went for the Air Show in Pensacola and the Museum of Naval Aviation. We had a very nice weekend. The hotel was nice, the staff was friendly, the room was clean (but smelled mildew).

Hotel staff was GREAT! Very friendly, very accomodating. First night's room (King w/ sleeper sofa) was not good. The sleeper sofa upholstry was VERY dirty. I would not allow my child to sleep on it. Hotel staff offered a double queen room, but we made due with the King room. We moved the next morning to a pool side double queen room. Room was much cleaner. Rooms have kitchenettes, but are not stocked with eating utensils, dishes, etc. It would make much more sense to get rid of empty kitchen cupboards and replace with a dorm room type refridgerator and a small microwave. Both rooms we stayed in had cheap, very hard mattresses. The hotel lobby was pleasant and a nice (but small) breakfast selection each morning. Pool was clean, grounds could have used a bit of sprucing up. We would stay at this hotel again because we don't spend much time in our room while on vacation; however, it would be nice to see the hotel management/owner invest a bit of money in better quality beds and sprucing up the rooms/grounds.

Too many construction people staying at this hotel. The cleanliness was much to be desired. In the last year, since my first stay at this hotel, the overall condition and cleanliness has drastically degenerated.

We didn't stay in the hotel very much, but the short time we used the room it was great. The hotel was quiet and clean. The staff was friendly. This was an even better stay at this particular site than our previous one.

The Hotel accomodations were good. The location was somewhat of a challenge. Getting out into traffic and then having to complete a u turn to go
in the opposite direction. N. Davis Highway is complicated.

Stayed at TownePlace Suites to visit son at Pensacola NAS. Took about 15-30 minutes (depending on traffic) to get to and from. TPS was about the same to Pensacola beach. Easy travel. Seemed nicer than some of the places closer that might be used by more of the younger crowd... soooo much quieter and relaxing... Pool was small but clean and cozy.....

Awesome family and pet friendly!

I am a professional that travels with my family and dogs. This place was awesome- simple yet pet-friendly. Staff was so nice to us and we spent the days on the beach with the dogs laying at our feet. The beach grill has a very Caribbean feel- kind of loud with music at nights, but really- it adds to the whole culture and flavor of being by the beach! We ate at the Hilton but it seemed much less "vibrant" than the Paradise Inn. And the beach was a white sand with water that was green and turquoise with a beautiful pier. Would love to stay at this little hidden gem again!

I stayed over Halloween and there was a party at the grill/bar. When the party broke up, I could hear everyone returning to their rooms and the parties that continued in the rooms. The room had a moldy aroma and the floor need a good vacuuming and mopping. There was no chair in the room. The food in the grill was very good, but smoking was available everywhere. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't stay here again. Too bad, because the staff is very friendly.
