Very antiquated and not very clean.Needs painting.. Door filthy. I would not stay there again

old style motel
old and needs a lot of updating.maybe torn down and they could start over...dumpy and very very old. I didn't realize that some hotel chains are indepenently owned and that explained what happened here I think...no updating....

Bed Bugs!!!!!!
My family and I travel often and have stayed at hundreds of hotel around the world. We decided to stay at this hotel only because it was very close to where our friends were staying and nothing else was available since it was last minute. Upon walking into the room we immediately noticed both beds were full of bed bugs. I mean FULL!!! When we notified the on duty manager he didn't say he was sorry he just said he would sent maintenance. Are you kidding, what was maintenance going to do. We quickly left and needed to spend the evening with our friends.

Cockroaches in room
We arrived about 5 PM and got our room on second floor about as far away from elevator as you can. Unpacked and when checking internet connection a cockroach ran across table which I killed. A few hours later after we came back from dinner my wife was watching TV when she screamed and another one was crawling on her. I went to the office and asked for my money back but because I made reservations online and I would have to deal with them. They did offer another room with no Frig & Microwave which we took but did not get much sleep and were out of there early in the morning.

Cockroach-Palooza!
It was infested with so many cockroaches that they were in the fridge, on the curtains and along the baseboards! Maintenance removed the fridge while I was moved down the hall. The manager was polite until i asked to be refunded for the night (I was)--she wanted to give me a gift certificate instead. For 10 bucks more I stayed closer to Siesta beach which was AWESOME & bug free!

Good value--Good location--Recommended
Nice hotel for the money. Convenient to the beaches and the town or Sarasota--all a few minutes drive by car. Friendly helpful staff. Clean rooms. Nice pool. Generous free breakfast. Nothing real fancy, but more then adequate.

Have stayed at the hotel 3 times. Generally run down, but great location, clean, except for last visit where when I woke up, something had bitten me where my face was on the pillow, Pleasant folks adequate continental breakfast. Excellent internet in all rooms; Reasonable price.
