Days Inn Tallahassee I-10 and US 27 North

THe hotel was nasty very old rusty, black bugs flying - my husband would not even sleep the extra lock on the door was missing, not enought towels for two people in the room

was very nice and the staff was helpful

Find the hotel was hard because there are NO signs on the interstate that point you in the right direction.Getting off the interstate on exit 199 you will take a right at the light and another right by burger king where you see Holiday inn and comfort INN and it sits all the way in the back. [...] the rooms where pretty good and the pool was alright...The continental breakfast consisted of toast,muffin, cereal,orange juice and coffee

room was kind of musty.

Went to Tallahassee for the birth of our 1st grandchild and needed to work while we were there. Arrived at 2 am and stayed in the room that night. What I thought was just a bad musty smell was a large amount of mold not visable till morning. Slipped on the huge amount of water on the bathroom floor and torqued my knee badly. Woke up with eyes swollen from the mold and not able to talk because it was so bad. [...] We were so exhausted from driving 7 hours trying to get there in time for the arrival of our grand daughter, we didn't argue because we just needed to sleep. When leaving, we requested a receipt showing there were no charges to our card and they would not issue one. Their response was it shouldn't have been ran in the first place and they couldn't find a record of any card being ran. This was our Corporate Credit Card!!!! We were in a hurry to get to the hospital and asked for a hand written statement that we did not owe anything and that there were no additional charges. They REFUSED to put anything in writing or sign a statement. No manager could be reached or anyone with the authority to do anything except say it was our fault for not coming to the desk at 2am in the morning when we went to the room. The condition of the building made me think the other rooms would be bad as well since the mold was over the door and in the carpet. The ceiling had huge water stains as well and the ceiling was falling down. These things were not visable to road weary travelers at 2 am in the morning when all you are looking at is the bed. The sink also did not work and would not allow water to drain. We have traveled extensively and have never had such a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE in all that time. This Days Inn said they were not associated with the Days Inn Franchise yet they displayed the name so beware! I would not send my worst enemy to this place. Two days later I am still sick from the mold and my knee is still swollen double the normal size. 3 hours after I reported the toilet leak no one had shown up and I went back to the front desk only to be stonewalled again. The desk clerk was polite but useless.[...] That is being done in the morning as I have just returned home from the long drive back. Nothing but indignant and unethical business can be expected from this rot hole.[...] In addition, the incident caused us to not be able to do the work we needed to do while on our trip and almost made us loose a big client!

We attended college orientation for one day. Room was fine but A/C ran all the time. Would have been good to stop when temp reached.

the rooms were average for the price.

We were visiting Tallahassee on an AAU event; This is an outdoor event in the blazing hot sun of temptures ranging from the 90's, so after being in these temptures for nine hours one whould expect to return to their hotel room in a comfrontable clean setting. We left the hotel that morning @ 7:45 and returned around 4:30pm the room was is in the same condition we left in in. The dirty towles were placed behind the bathroom door, clean towels were placed on the sink. Trash was every were,they did not even change the linen on the bed, nor did they make the bed. Other than that the visit would have been a good one.

Smell of smoke, smell of air freshners, dirty hallways, unkempt pool area

Not a bad room for the price. After turning off the main road it was hard to find because there were no signs until you arrived at the front door. There was a cigarette burn on a sheet and a dead cockroach in the bathroom, but the staff was friendly and the breakfast was just fine. I did not like the fact that we had to pay more for a ground floor room (my wife uses a wheel chair) but when we arrived the clerk said we could have any room. Overall it was a good visit and yes I would stay here again.
