Extended Stay America Tampa - Airport - West Shore

This inn works fine if you need just a place to crash. I needed a place to stay before a big exam. Was looking for something relaxing and comfortable. This place offered bare minimum service. No wake up call. Dinky little tv . you have to pay for wireless internet service. On the upside, it was adequately clean and had a mini kitchenett with mini fridge. All in all, I've been to $40/night inns that were more relaxing than this.

Just OK. No pool

We spicifically asked for a non-smoking room, and the room stunk of smoke as soon as we walked in. We were only staying for one night so we didn't want to complain, to get switched to a different room, but in the morning when we checked out we mentioned to the receptionist that the room smelled bad of smoke and she said "Oh I know we had out AC worked on last week and something that they did is making the smoke travel through the air vents from the 3rd floor, our smoking floor." When I booked the room the hotel said it had a pool, it didn't say that the pool that we could use was at the sister hotel that was 5-10 minutes away. We did get a reasonable rate on the room, but I still wouldn't recomend anyone to stay there.

Very quiet, nice room and staff was very friendly and nice. Would stay there again.

hotel was in a nice location, very quiet, and convienient to airport area. Room was decent size, and room was clean enough, nothing really stuck out as over the top or subpar. Would deffinately stay again if in the area, price was ok for what you get.

Hotel had a pugent smell about it as soon as you entered, which was present throughout the property. The few hotels like this I have stayed at all seem to have that same smell.

I arrived in Tampa after 11pm. I booked a room on my phone. Orbitz took the money. When I got to the hotel it was closed till the next morning. I barely had enough for another hotel. That sucked. I came the next day, and they booked me for the next night. Room was nice, quiet, and comfortable. I booked through orbitz again for a few more nights. The front desk claimed they didn't get the fax from them therefore I was double charged. Once by orbitz and once by the hotel. I gave them the confirmation I had on my phone. Everything was straightened out finally, but it caused my bank account to go negative. Sucks for me, but what can I do. Great price though, nice room, located off in the cut which I like, but may be hard for some people to find. All in all, I liked the hotel, but the staff needs to get it together.

I just needed an inexpensive clean room close to my work location near Tampa International Airport. This fit that need, but that's about it. After a long day at work, there really wasn't much to offer in terms of unwinding in the 'suite', the TV is really small and there aren't many channels to view. The bed is really HARD, pretty uncomfortable unless you like sleeping on a brick. I was really disappointed when I found the shower head didn't work the next morning... ARGH!
