Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay

Room coffee makers not very good. Would it be so horrible to be able to get free coffee from the buffett area for guests? Many high class hotels offer that service along with buffets at a more reasonable price. I witnessed a family of four walk away because it was going to cost them $80 for breakfast with tip. Could not blame them. In todays economy especially, vacationers appreciate a decent meal at a decent price, without having to travel to get it.

We were supposed to get breakfasts each day. 25 dollars was given instead, which did not cover breakfast at all. Food was not good. Disappointed to pay for bay view when the hotel was not full. Pool was small & inadequate & teeming with people.

The Grand Hyatt is coveniently close to Tampa International Airpot, but also within short driving distance of some of Florida's nicest beaches. The bayside rooms have excellent views of the water, although they require a small surcharge. The hotel's Oystercatcher Restaurant is also on the water at the end of an elevated boardwalk through a protected magrove wetland. The seafood is excellent as is the wine list, but come prepared to pay for the quality surroundings and cuisine. Overall the staff was cordial and cooperative. The hotel's concierge provides small maps that make it easy to get to sites in Tampa and St. Petersberg. We spent six days at the hotel and enjoyed a wonderful time.

We received an upgrade to a bay view without requesting it. Wonderful breakfast and dinner buffets, lounge drinks and appetizers. Service was very friendly and attentive. Shuttle service was very handy to airport and shopping nearby. Rooms are large and beds are comfy! Very professional staff for a low price.

I had a very good time with my family and i have been very well treated. Every thing was perfect.

Everything was as expected for a Hyatt. The only negative was the access due to construction and traffic. Missed the turn because it is so congested and had to go 2-4 miles to turn around.

The Grand Hyatt was WONDERFUL!!! Everything from the staff to the actual hotel room was beautiful! Very friendly and accomodating as well... Upon arriving to the hotel, we were immediately welcomed and treated with utmost respect that carried on thru out our stay. I loved the room which had robes waiting with wine and fruit/cheese (honey may have arranged it) but I sincerely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling on business or leisure. BEAUTIFUL place to relax and enjoy.

Although there were a few blunders during my stay, the management staff was quick to remedy any problems. Ideally, there should not have been problems in the first place, but knowing the management did all they could to correct the problems I was still able to walk away with a positive feeling from this hotel. It is not walking distance to anything really. Which was perfect for what I was there for, but I could imagine would be bothersome for others. The hotel rests on a nature preserve which other an abundance of wildlife (manatees, lots of birds and crazy little crabs near the boardwalk). The hammocks near the pool by the casitas were a nice touch.

The Grand Hyatt had ample sized rooms and very comfortable beds. Room service was quick and the food was delicious. The bath was lovely and well equipped. Personnel were very helpful and polite.
