Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites TAMPA -USF-BUSCH GARDENS

We have stayed here the past 3 times thispast year that we have gone to BG and each time I find more and more things dirty in the room. Also I hate asking for extra towels when you book a room for 4 people we should have at least 4 towels not 3. Get it together please otherwise why are you asking how many in a room. Last but not least the service shuttle to the BG park should be more frequent. I hate waiting for the "next shuttle" when there are only 3 scheduled times. At least this time the shuttle service coincided with the closing hours, this was not the case during the summer when the park clased at 9pm and the last hotel shuttle left at 4:30.

it was an overnite trip for friends. the rooms were nice, staff was friendly. The buffet the next day was decent. it was primarily used as a meeting and sleeping stay but there were no complaints i live fairly close thats why i chose that location for everyone to meet. we did walk to get a bite and driving down the street everyday is very different from trying to manuever the sidewalks with busy traffic at night. i would not go far with my kids in tow walking. was surprised how the resturaunts were so close to the hotel.

I honestly can't say one bad thing about my experience. The hotel is literally right next to Busch Gardens. It's brand new, very beautiful. The room was spotless, clean, and comfortable. The staff was so friendly. There is a shuttle bus to the park, our driver was so friendly, even came and picked us up early. The continental breakfast was the best I've had at any HIE. All in all, this was one of the best hotel stays I think I've had next to a Hilton.

The rooms were very nice. Everything was cleanand new. Attempted to use the business center in the morning but it was congested with the same person for over an hour.

The Holiday Inn Express was nice and in a good location. It met all of my expectations but did not go beyond. The room was clean and nice, as was the rest of the hotel. Staff was friendly enough and food was very close by. The location though very close to Busch Gardens, as was stated it is to far to walk. Also I did not find the hotel shuttle to work in our time frame, which was very disapointing.

This hotel is clean and served good breakfast. It's close to Bush Garden but too far to walk. The hotel's shuttle bus drop off at 9-10am and pick up at 5pm, but the park close at 9pm during the summer. My room was very noisy, I could hear the delivery truck, UPS, and gabage pick up at 2AM. Management offer me two other rooms. The first one, I could hear local traffic from the street and the second one was facing a roof full of mildew. This hotel is not worth the $$$.

Nice hotel with good amenities. Great complimentary breakfast selection. Wouldn't recommended walking to Busch Gardens. The neighborhood is a bit scary and ghetto with some sketchy characters walking around.

Holiday Inn Express has added a $10 charge to my credit card. No reason was stated. We will investigate. Room was paid in full to [...]. And no additional fees were mentioned at check in our check out. Beware! Stayed for visit to Busch Gardens. Rooms seemed new and clean. Front desk person was not overly friendly but thats his problem. We had planned to walk back from Busch Gardens but when I asked the front desk person if this was a safe idea, he started laughing at me! Does not seem like a very safe area.

Overall, good hotel to stay in if you do not rent a car and want to go to Busch Gardens. Beware, though, their shuttle to the park only runs in the morning (9, 9:30, and 10 am) and afternoon (4, 4:30, 5 pm). So, no back and forth, and you cannot stay to closing if you want to use the shuttle; closing was at 8:30 pm. While the hotel is right across the street from the park, the parking lot entrance, which is the only way to get in, is about 1/2 mile down the road. You then have to walk back from where you came to get to the actual park entrance. It's not a bad walk, but if you have little ones, it probably won't work. Since it was cold, we did not use the pool, but it looked 'okay;' right next to the parking lot, though. Several restaurants right near the hotel for sit-down (eg, Olive Garden) or fast (eg, Arby's, McDonalds) meals.
