Ramada Westshore Tampa Airport

After reading reviews I was a little nervous of what the condition of the room would be like... but was pleasantly surprised. Doors are old so keys do not work easily - had to go downstairs twice for new keys....Needed to stay 1 night passing through Tampa and 1 night on the way back through - both times - rooms were clean, beds clean - however I will say the room was bit musty smelling - and beds only have sheets on them - no blanket or comforter - was a little weird. Bathroom was very clean in one room and a bit worn in the other. If you need to catch at 6:00 am flight - be careful of van driver - both times it was 20 minutes late and we had to rush through the airport - if you have an early flight might be safer to call a taxi. Okay place for the money for just a night or two - would never stay there for a week though. It worked for what we needed - a close place to the airport to just sleep at.

I believe this place was once a great place to stay - now it is decaying. The main elevator was out of order. The ice machine on our floor was out of order. Do not arrive before 3PM. We were there too early as we had no other choice. We slept in chairs till they let us in our room. The room was clean and the sports bar/restaurant was very good. For what we paid it would be fine for a one night stand or even a one night stay.

A bit tired and frayed. But clean, good value. Likeable staff.I was happy and extended stay twice.

Good affordable hotel. It is located near a few strip clubs but the lobby area is very nice. There is no hot tub except in the suites even though it is listed as having a hot tub on the Ramada corporate site. The rooms are spacious and not that special. This hotel is not of the quality one would expect from Ramada, more on the lines of a Red Roof Inn. For the price it was a good room. Breakfast was average, service was slightly above average.

It was chosen for price and location. It was very acceptable.

Our room was clean and had a wonderfully clean scent. This is a Hotel that will take care of you and make you feel very comfortable.

lobby seems upscale but rooms are motel quality at best, old, not updated and stained carpet staff were very friendly and accommodating/good location for the price/excellent airport transfer service

I booked a hotel room for a weekend 3-4 months ago requesting 2 double beds. I received the confirmation stating we were all set, but when we arrived we walked into the room with 1 double bed. When I went to the manager I was told they were unable to guarantee that I would get the 2nd bed. Of course I asked what was the point of reserving one. They told me they could only guarantee either 2 double beds, or 1 king size bed. Neither of which was received. They did provide a cot the size of cradle however. When I originally walked into the room, there was just the 1 bed, stains all over the floor, dirty sinks and bathrooms. The hotel would not be the place for couple, nor a family.

We were supposed to have a room with a fridge and microwave. Our room had neither. The bath tub faucet and drain were covered with calcium scale and rust. The lobby is nice and clean but that changes when to go upstairs to your room. The hallway floors were covered with stains, the ice machine on our floor was broken. It was an over all bad experience.

My 3rd time visiting in the Tampa area as my son goes to Univ of Tampa. Out of my 3 experiences staying in a hotel, I have to say Ramada was the best. I will be visiting in the near future and will be making my reservations there again. Nice place, pleasant staff and convenient location. Thank you!
