A nice place to stay
The room was clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I looked at the reviews for all of the local hotels and chose the Comfort Inn. I am so glad I did! I highly recommend this hotel.

A Salute to Our Troops
I was in Columbus with the Miss Columbus/Southern Rivers/Peachtree board for the USO show, A Salute to Our Troops! The hotel was convenient to the base (just down I-185). The breakfast bar was well stocked with a varity of foods. The only complaint that kept my trip from being the best possible was the third floor. The entire floor reeked of cigarette smoke even though half of the rooms were designated as non-smoking. I would highly recommend not combining smoking and non smoking rooms on the same floor. If you are a non-smoker or allergic to cigarette smoke, request the second or first floor.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
If you enjoy barbeque, walk or drive a few blocks toward downtown Columbus to Country's BBQ. You must try the collard greens and banana pudding.

The staff at this hotel was exceptional. I had a couple of issues and they acted quickly and very professionally. The hotel is older but clean. Nothing fancy but good for an overnight stay. The problem I had was that even though the room was non smoking as were the other rooms around us it smelled of smoke and there was a burn hole in the bedspread. So guests were not following policy and smoking.

Difficult entrance and exit
The motel was great! The breakfast was better than what I've learned to expect from most continental breakfasts. The major drawback was the entrance and exit into the motel parking lot off the street. There's no left turn out of the lot and it was particularly bad during rush hour. Our air conditioner was very noisy the first night. I told the front desk clerk and it was working perfectly by the next night.

Nice Place to stay
Hotel room and staff exceeded requirements as other family members were stay at different hotel next door and relocated to Comfort Inn. Only downside was there was not a hot tub/sauna to help alleviate travel pains.

Wonderfully kind staff!!
First of all, the staff was so kind. It is TRUE...the south is the leading force in hospitality and kindness. Easy check in and room was very clean and comfortable. We were very pleased with the breakfast choices and it helped get us off to a great start meeting Georgia family for the first time. we will be back to Georgia in the future to explore Columbus heritage, events and RiverWalk. only setback.....smoky smell in hallways some days....but some folks won't follow rules no matter what.

Shoppers delight!
Short drive to anywhere in Columbus. Just off 185 ramp. Breakfast okay. Walking distance to a Burger King, Waffle House, Rite Aide next door. Laundry onsite. What was missing was a place to sit outside.
