The Newly renovated Days Inn Columbus Georgia is located in North Columbus, Exit 6 and the closest Days Inn to Fort Benning. Our new Registration building opened in May of May of 2009. Our rooms have been updated with a new color scheme, new bedding and new carpeting. We now have a restaurant on site called The Great Panda Express. Days Inn Columbus is just 4 miles from Fort Benning, within minutes to local Shopping at the Peachtree Mall or the Columbus Park Crossing Outdoor Mall. Our property is the closest Days Inn to Columbus State University and the Columbus Airport. Other area attractions in the Columbus area include: Coca Cola Space Science Center, Columbus Museum, Wild Animal Safari and many more cultural and historical events. The Days Inn Columbus provides FREE Deluxe Continental Breakfast with HOT items daily from 6-9am, FREE High Speed Wireless Internet access in every room as well as the public areas, On Site Coin Operated Laundry, FREE Parking for larger vehicles and an on site restaurant.

Hard to come in and out of hotel

In planning a trip to see our son graduate from his basic training course we wanted a hotel close to the highway. Unfortunately the entrance to the hotel was hard to navigate as it is a poorly marked driveway right next to an asian fast food spot (not pretty to look at but good food). The room had a smell of perfume spray and when examining the bed it was clear the bottom mattress cover had not been changed from someone leaving bodily fluids (my guess vomit) stained on it. It was inexpensive and seemed to be a hot spot for soldiers on leave. Staff were very friendly. I wouldn't recommend it if you can afford better. On a budget it was adequate.

Georgia Vacation

This hotel was extremely dirty. There was piles of dirt in the bathroom and the walls were covered in dirt and looks like they have not been cleaned in a long time. It was in a good location but they need to be a lot more tidy.

Ehh

I called this hotel a couple times to confirm we needed conjoined rooms and they said they do have them at their location, however when we received our room keys we were not connect yet one of our rooms was to the other room next to them. Also because we reserved the hotel to visit ft. Benning base we also asked if our room came with irons and it did not. I needed the iron for my clothes first thing in the morning before we seen our soldier. Lastly, we went down to ask for more towels due to the fact that they gave us 3 when they knew we had 4 people in our room. And asking for those towels were like pulling teeth, the front desk requested that we immediately walked back down to return our used towels. Which for everyone who doesn't know we were on the 5th floor and it was midnight.

Not too bad...

I went for family day at Fort Benning and for what I paid I thought it was pretty decent. It doesn't look very great on the outside but the beds are comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel staff was very nice and told me exactly how to get to the base they also let me check in early. I didn't eat the breakfast but there quite a few people down there so I assume it's too not bad. The one thing I didn't like is that they didn't have an iron and the shower didn't stay hot for very long. Overall for what I paid...it wasn't too bad.

Budget Trip

We loved it. We was close to the army base, and plenty of food. There was a close mall and another one a few exits down so it was cool.

There was KFC, Taco Bell ,McDonalds, DQ, Longhorn, and a few others within walking and driving distance but i would not recommend walking because of the freeway and 4 lane streets they had. There wasn't enough sidewalks but besides that it was ok.

Family Weekend

Days Inn Columbus GA

Beds were comfortable but small (for two) Rooms were clean and for a regular hotel OK Breakfast not much but sufficient for the price of hotel room.

BREAKFAST PLANS

PLAN ON BREAKFAST AT WAFFLE HOUSE. If it werent for the cleaning staff and Jasmine we would have been disapointed, but they were awesome! Made it worth it
