Weekend Travel
Nice hotel with inhospitable staff
The young woman who checked us in barely said two words and was NOT pleasant. On the way out, another employee at the desk was equally unconcerned and unhelpful. It was bad enough that we called for a manager. Never did talk to one, never got a return call. As a Southerner, I was especially appalled at the glaring lack of hospitality. Rooms are nice, and the train tracks directly behind didn't bother us at all. Staff here needs guidance, or maybe they just need to be replaced.

THE WORST
For a new hotel, this is the worst. From the staff to the restaurant, there is absolutely nothing good to say about this place.

Poor experience
Even though the five story hotel was almost empty, they still booked us on the RAILROAD side of the hotel. Almost every 15 minutes, a train roared down the tracks on that side of the hotel. Upon request, they moved us to the other side. The free breakfast was a horrible experience. Even though there was two more hours left for breakfast, they ran out of food and reluctantly cooked some more. No bowls,spoons, or milk for the cereal. Tables were left uncleared even though there was plenty of help. Our quiet little breakfast turned into a nightmare. No one seemed to care. Poor management?

Happy at the Holiday Inn!
This is a new hotel so grounds etc were immaculate.Our room was very clean and I loved the decor. Hotel staff was friendly and check in and out were very efficient. It is convenient to the strip mall and far enough off of the highway that there was no noise. Got a late checkout with no annoying knocks on the door at regular checkout time!!! I would definitely return
