Hotel from HE DOUBLE STICKS!!!!!
The staff was very friendly and rightfully so cause the hotel was a nightmare in disguise. The room was terrible. I had 2 lamps out of 3, with no light bulbs, the remote needed new batteries (which I supplied), the shower floor had been patched and was broken up. You could not clean the germs and bacteria out of the broken up patch job. If I had flip flops, I would have worn them in the shower. At least throw a rubber mat down to protect their guests feet . The first night I checked in after work and unloaded my car. I went shopping and out to dinner. When I returned around 8:00 p.m. there were 20-30 construction workers (staying there, my room somewhere in the middle of theirs) were out in the parking lot and along the sidewalk drinking beer, partying and being exceptionally loud. I rushed in my room (being a single female alone staying there) and was to afraid to go get Ice or any soft drinks or snacks. I called the front desk around 9 p.m. and the front desk person went out there to break up the party going on all around my room. Finally around 11 p.m. they seemed to drift off to their rooms and it was finally quite. I then went to get my lap top out of my car and to get some ice, so I could have some cold water. The next morning I checked with the frnt desk and found out that the construction company had checked out, so I felt I could stick it out for 2 more nights. The bedspread had burn holes all over it, which could simply be sewn up or just replace the bedspread (it looked to be 15+ years old). The continental breakfast served something that you "might "call eggs (round patties, maybe powdered eggs but round and flat) and the greasiest sausage patties I have ever seen. I ate the safest thing I could find...cold cereal. Thank god for that. I will never stay at that hotel EVER. I was only booked for 3 nights, so I decided to stick it out since YOUR policy is 100% NON-REFUNDABLE. I will think twice again before i book another hotel with Orbitz. I have always been happy with my flights I have booked with your company, but not another hotel. I felt un-safe and vunerable to catching some infection from the dirty room I was in. It was truly the Hotel from HE DOUBLE STICKS. I would not recommend this hotel to a dying dog, much less a real live person!!! It was gross and that is an understatement.

good price for a long stay
I was in Macon on business for a week. The hotel was located close to dinning and shopping. It was clean and fresh towels were avaiable daily.

Quick overnight stay
Pros: Lots of places to eat in the area. The free breakfast was very nice (waffles, cereal, juice, coffee, pre-packaged sausage biscuits and muffins, toast, etc.). Shower pressure and temp was fine. Easy access from I-475. Beds were comfortable. TV worked fine with plenty of channels. Cons: Door did not shut tightly, so there was a bit of draft. Tub could use some general repair.

Good Cheap Hotel
Receptionist was professional. Room was clean. Only problems I had were: (1) Cards didn't work so I had to go back to front desk to make them re-program them. (2) Ice machine in second floor was not working, so had to go to the first floor to get ice. (3) Bathroom door doesn't shut all the way even if you slam it. At least they had a fan in the bathroom.

Business Trip to Macon
Arrived late for business trip - rooms were held for us - staff very friendly - does not have a restaurant and town seems to roll up the sidewalks after 10 pm. during the week so had to eat late fast food. Rooms were very clean, showers were clean and well lighted with hot water. Bed was very comfortable and clean, no undue odors or noises. Two story building with all rooms opening to outside walkway. Will use it again on future trips to Macon.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Motel has NO restaurant. Town rolls up the sidewalks after 10 pm during weekdays. Few fast food places open later - but apparently not real late even for those! Plan to be in earlier in the day or evening or pack a late dinner.
