Great place in Waikiki
We were thrilled with this hotel for a very nice hotel in a great location for a very good price. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, such as allowing us to park our car there earlier than our actual checkin time, without any extra charge, providing helpful tourist info, etc. The room was very comfortable and had a nice kitchen; a big plus for us. We would definitely stay there again.

Entertainment tip:
Short drive from hotel
Check with Ala Moana shopping center management office for free hula shows that are performed in the food court; and that mall and the food court there are absolutely huge and amazing.

Mixed feelings - bad amenities
Pros: Balcony Walking distance to beach, shops, etc. Cons: No King Bed if you book through third party, even though they show an option for it No Wi-Fi Pool open from 10am to 7pm and the water in it was cold Parking is $20 a day - this got me the most!

When I Booked the price was quoted to be about $ 88/Night. I booked 2 nights and paid $ 228. + $15 to park. The room was ok, no resturant but not a problem at that location. Had to book from 3 PM the day before arrival as arrival time was 7:30 AM after an 18 hour trip. I could not use the 15 hours of reserved time before my arrival.

Nice, less expensive place to stay
We were looking for an inexpensive room with a kitchen so we wouldn't have to eat all our meals out. This hotel worked very well. It was not fancy, but it was clean and in an excellent location with easy access to downtown. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

It is what it is...
To be honest, the room we had reminded me of how I lived when I resided in Honolulu, Hawaii. It felt old and a little dilapidated, but I was used to it. For others, it may not fair as well. The staff was very nice. It was easy to engage in conversation with the people at the front desk. They're personable. We were lucky to be on the 2nd floor where the laundromat and service staff were at. All-in-all, our stay was good. If money is tight while you're in the islands, give Ambassador a "holla!"

Ambassador Hotel is good value
The location may be a bit away from the crowd, but we find it quite good in fact. The room is clean and adequately equipped. Internet is free but is lined. It won't accept more than one computer at a time even when we converted it to wireless. Good value and we definitely recommend it.

The second floor is really loud at 5am each day so we had great difficulty sleeping. There is also no wifi. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The hotel just needs to be updated with soundproof terrace doors and free wifi.
