You certainly get a fantastic experience but expect to pay for it. Lots to do but everything is fairly pricey

We booked a quick 5 day getaway for our 10 year wedding anniversary in January 2012. In a word our entire experience was EXCEPTIONAL. From the beautiful resort to the breath taking views to the beyond first-class service, the Ritz Carlton is truly second to none. Two tips to remember in our opinon: 1. As a mom of 2 small children I would say that this is really not a kid friendly resort and I would not bring my children here to stay. While there are children present, the hotel definitely caters to the adults and not the children. 2. The cabana/poolside staff do backflips and practically turn themselves inside out to accomodate your every need. For example, when we inquired about where to purchase sugar cane to bring back for our kids, they summoned an employee with a machete to cut some stalk on the premises and had it sent to our refrigerator in our room while we lounged by the pool. UNBELIEVEABLE!!!! We had a FABULOUS time and would absolutely stay here again!!

The Kapalua Villas are made up of one, two, and three bedroom private vacation condominiums featuring green fairway or azure-blue ocean view or ocean front accommodations. Set within Kapalua Resorts 23,000 acres, these spacious luxury villas are complete with daily housekeeping, full size kitchens, washer and dryer, air conditioning, pull out sofas, multiple televisions, and large living and lanai areas. With a minimum of 1,200 square feet of interior space. Guests experience casual elegance, privacy and comfort in this tropical island paradise.
The Kapalua Gold Villas represent our finest ensemble of luxury accommodations featuring the highest level of quality, service and amenities available. The newly remodeled Gold Villas include flat screen televisions, DVD players, in-room safe, nightly turndown service, daily newspaper, robes and slippers, daily housekeeping and many upgraded amenities. Spread throughout the resort in 3 main clusters, The Kapalua Villas have 4 - 8 units per building. Each villa cluster has 3 pools with chaise lounge chairs, bar-b-cue grills and shade umbrellas. Guests also have access to the pool at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua Hotel.
Guests of The Kapalua Villas enjoy exclusive day use access to the brand new 30,000 square foot Kapalua Spa including tranquil relaxation rooms with sauna, steam, ice rain showers, whirlpools, and the 75 infinity edge saline lap pool as well as access to the fitness facility featuring sate of the art cardio, strength, and Kinesis circuit system for guests age 16 years and older. Additional guest privileges include 45-day advance tee times and preferred guest rates on our golf courses, Beach towel use at Kapalua Bay and D.T. Fleming Beach.

Great experience and great location. Lot's of beautiful beaches and private pools to choose from. Loved the shuttle service. View from our golf villa was amazing...180 degree view of the ocean. We did not stay in the Gold Villas but could imagine how that would be over the top. This is a place to go to relax.
