Stayed during the Iowa games. Really close to campus which was nice.
The pool was pretty small and with all the people staying it was hard for kids to have a good time in the pool.

Just what I needed

I was in town for a conference, so wasn't spending a lot of time at the room/hotel. Needed a place to stay and that was about it. Rooms are fairly simple but are always clean and well kept.
If you want a place to take the family for a "getaway" weekend, don't stay here. If you just need "a room", this is perfect

This might be (at least one of) the best located hotel at the town of Ames, especially when you travel without a car. It's about 2 mins walk to Cyride. And there're a bunch of dinning and shopping place within 5 mins walk. The rooms are clean and I did not notice the uncomfortable odors mentioned in some previous reviews. The staffs are helpful. And the price is reasonable. It seems I only got soaps for washing and bathing. Maybe they should consider providing shampoo in the restroom next time.

The Inn was right next to Panera in Ames, IA, which I appreciated. Free WiFi was a plus and complete cable TV package was also appreciated. Desk clerks were friendly and capable. Maid service was efficient and prompt. I stayed at the Days Inn when I visited Ames last year and I would do it again. Excellent value if you don't need frills.

The stay was great and the Hotel is an excellent place if you have to stay in Ames. The only complain I have is the breakfast started too late during the week. If you are there for business 6:30am can be too late. In the weekdays was pretty common to have people waiting outside the restaurant in the morning. But the waiters and waitresses were very nice! Anyway, I strongly recommend it specially is you get a great deal from Orbitz

Perfect for our needs

We were in town to visit Iowa State. We just needed a place to stay for one night. We wanted something inexpensive but clean and quiet. We also wanted a continental breakfast so we could get out right away in the morning. This suited our purpose perfectly. The room and bathroom were very clean. The sheets were crisp and smelled slightly of bleach which told me they were very clean. I also noticed that there was a germ cover that encased the mattress. With the recent bed bug scare I appreciated this. The hotel staff was pleasant. The noise level was not too bad considering how close we were to the highway. The breakfast was good and it was nice that it included a waffle machine. The only complaint is the smokers standing outside the side and front doors and the main level hallway could use some new carpet - there was a slight odor. Otherwise, perfect. Thank you!

Americinn was the right place for us to stay while visiting relatives in Ames. It is easily accessible from either I35 or hwy 30. Our grandkids were allowed to use the pool which was a real plus.
Breakfast is better than adequate and the room rate per night the weekend we stayed was less than $80 including tax.
We would use this facility in the future.

we had a great experience here. front staff was organized, helpful and friendly. breakfast was exceptional. new carpets less than 3 months old. lots of kids here for junior olympics, but place was quiet. came home late one evening to find our bathroom was flooding from room above and staff moved us in minutes to better room. rode the train and saw car races in nearby Boone. Ames is beautiful.

The Quality Inn & Suites Starlite Village Conference Center, AMES, IA was a nice place with good proximity to the highway and to Iowa State University. It is in the process of remodeling, but it has a very nice restaurant.

I was visiting the ISU campus with my cousin. The hotel was neat & clean with a very accommodating staff. Everything was great, with the exception of the shower. The water pressure was lacking, leaving it hard to clean all the soap off one's self. Not to mention, the hot water was not as abundant as it should have been. Regardless, an enjoyable experience, overall.

Nice rooms..fridge would've been nice... bathtub stoppers were quick to stop and slow to drain.. but still a nice stay
