- A full desk with ample working space. High speed internet. Newspaper. Floor to ceiling window on one wall. Full bath provides a unique glass blocked walk in shower and an upscale feel that makes the bathroom alone a treat.

- Executive Jr Suite 1 Room 1 King bed - King bed pillow-top mattresses. Seating area with loveseat. Coffee table. Internet. CD player. Newspaper. Floor to ceiling window on one wall giving the room an open and spacious feel. Full bath with shower.

- Superior 2 Double Beds - The beds provide a restful night. Additional comfort of pillow top mattresses. Down comforters and fitted sheets. Full bath also provides a desk and excellent lighting.

- Superior King - Full bath. Coffee maker. Full size iron/board. Full desk with excellent lighting and a second phone for a fully functional work space. Whithin the room is a loveseat and coffee table. Loveseat pulls out to sleep one.

In Ames to visit our child attending Iowa State. The Gateway is a step up from average and a few steps below above average, like a C+.

Nice place
The stay was great and the Hotel is an excellent place if you have to stay in Ames. The only complain I have is the breakfast started too late during the week. If you are there for business 6:30am can be too late. In the weekdays was pretty common to have people waiting outside the restaurant in the morning. But the waiters and waitresses were very nice! Anyway, I strongly recommend it specially is you get a great deal from Orbitz

Nice hotel, good location
I was in town to meet with friends who were also in from out of town and wanted a good clean hotel room at a fair price, and that's exactly what I got.

Great Location-Close To ISU-Quiet
Stayed here once before, same great rooms. Very clean, very quiet. Close to ISU. First choice when coming to Ames again. Did not eat here, but the facilities looked nice. Had to fill in dining section to send review.
