Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Hickory Park. Strap on the feedbag for some great BBQ at a very reasonable cost. Try desert first - extensive menu.

When asked staff for directions they were not very familiar or knowledgeable about the area. We wanted a King size bed and when we asked we just got a nope and not even a check on the computer. Had a refrigerator in room but it didn't work, asked staff to take a look at it but nothing was ever done. The beds were lumpy and very hard to get a good night sleep. Went to get ice since refrigerator didn't work and no ice would come out, response I got is it should be working. The shower in the room had no pressure and was hard to get my long, thick hair clean. Couldn't get any pressure and so shower was not very good or refreshing.

Relaxing

We took this trip to visit my sister and her husband. My other sister and her family came to join us. Most of us went swimming,which was nice. It was relaxing,and enjoyed the breakfast.It was a great trip. We talked about coming again,and bring my brother and his family as well.

There is a big pitchfork by Target (they light it up during Christmas time),would be nice for a picture,also have trails for walking and biking by the ISU.

Convenient

A nice hotel with simple accessories like the continental breakfast and pool. The breakfast was more than some hotels serve for a full breakfast. The pool area was a bit warm - too steamy to take pictures, but did provide a comfortable swim experience. Staff always acknowledged your presence with a good morning or good evening - super job.
