Radisson
Experiance was good, but the work out facility was under construction. They had an agreement with a gym, but it was inconvenient to walk there. Breakfast in the morning was late for room service. Apart from that it was perfect and I would stay again.

lots of close restaurants in this area. Across the street is a casino if you like that sort of thing. The limits are relatively low and smoking is allowed in doors stil.

Radisson Quad City Plaza
Pro's: •Great location - right downtown, very close to the river & casino, ballpark, concert hall, River Center, etc. •Free parking •Free WiFi •Very friendly, helpful staff. We asked for a quiet room away from the wedding party and they gave it to us (although there were some loud folks ricocheting through the halls about 2:00 a.m....). •Great ambiance: the interior courtyard had tall, real palm trees etc. that you "travelled through" on your way up the glass elevator. Tasteful jazz combo there on Sunday morning. •Sleep number beds Cons: •Bedside lamp didn't work (wasn't the bulb) •Mildly pricey. $123 for one night with tax. Movie was $15.99 (ok I guess if 4 of you are watching). Omelette ca. $11 (no nearby other options for breakfast on Sunday; not many other days). •Pool is small; ok for families, not for anything resembling lap swimming or exercise •Bathroom was a bit small. Neither pro nor con: fitness room had treadmills & elliptical only; ok, but it would have been nice to have had, say, a multi-machine and/or dumbbells, and maybe some mats.

A block west is the Woodfire Grill - excellent cuisine, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. For dessert try the Key Lime Tartlette or the Creme Bruleé.

Nice Hotel but.....
The hotel was very nice until we got to our room. If the cleaning staff would of clean our room then it would of been great! The shower wasn't clean there was a undergarment behind the dresser. Also the glasses didn't appear to be clean. The pool was freezing cold and our thermostat wouldn't go below 72 for the night and didn't want to call maintenance at 4am in the morning. The hotel was beautiful. The beds took some adjusting. Sleep number beds are not made for just a one night stay. It took a long time to adjust. I would consider maybe coming back, but since we paid more then usual and didn't get anything to make up for the issues we had maybe we wouldn't. If our room would of been cleaned and the pool would of been warm, and the thermostat worked then we would of loved it.

Very nice hotel in beautiful downtown
This was a beautiful hotel in the downtown area. Surrounded by historical buildings and with a spectacular view of the skybridge (which has a moving rainbow of lights at night), the Mighty Mississip, a dam, and all sorts of interesting river traffic, this hotel was tip top. Beautiful classy interior and small restaurant, great bell staff. Downsides: pool seemed to be tended by someone who didn't know much about pool chemicals, twice in a five day stay no coffee packets in our room (we are from Washington State - where is the good coffee??). Pluses: maids that took the time to arrange all of our personal bathroom clutter neatly and pleasantly, and a personal note! Can't get any better than that. Plenty of attractions and food within walking distance. Stay here rather than casino across the road.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
Music lovers: be sure to check out Mojo's in the Woodfire Grill building. Small coffeeshop with open mic/stage for local performers (some of which are surprisingly good), plus walk upstairs to the little music museum, which features attractions like Bill Clinton's signed sax, plus mixing booths and what looked like a music venue (we were too early for the band, so this area was closed but looked interesting). Well worth the wander.

Business trip
We arrived late in the evening and was happy to find the restaurant was still serving. The service was great but the food was ok but a little disappointing. The salad bar had several empty bowls and needed to be refilled. The potatoes were not very warm and appeared to be sitting for a while. The fish was served hot. The service at the desk was quick and attentive. The room were nicer than I expected. It was clean and well decorated. I was looking forward to the special mattresses that you could adjust to your comfort level. The mattresses were not comfortable. My husband and I both had difficulty adjusting the firmness of the mattress. I think it may not have been working correctly. It felt like a big plastic blow up mattress which you can add or take out the air to control the firmness. I would not request this type of mattress in the future. I chose this hotel for its location. It was right on the river which made it more attractive. It did not have time to visit the town but it was inviting. The check out process was quick and easy.

Nice Stay
Although my stay was only one night, it was very enjoyable. The only problem that I had was the Sleep number bed. I found this to be so unfortable that I almost got up to sleep on the floor. I tried all different settings but did not find one that was comfortable. Other than that, the stay was great. Because of the bed I would have changed hotels if my stay was longer.

Breakfast is slow
I was not happy with the Hotel Restaurant for breakfast. It took over 30 minuets for me to get my omelet, and it was not even a busy time. After taking an extended period of time to get my food I was then forced to rush eating my breakfast so that I could make my early morning meeting.
