Fun couple get away

We loved the feel surrounding us but the parking was difficult or at best unclear as we arrived. The signs say NO parking right in front so we drug our luggage & provisions from a parking ramp, not easy and frustrating for us!! The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful as we spoke our complaint. Told us we could park in front but that is not clear to you if you are there the 1st time. Not sure we'd stay again just for convenience sake. A lot of money for the location and parking. As it was extremely gorgeous out, walking wasn't an issue but otherwise, not as great a location as we'd liked.

Great location!!

We were in town for a wedding and wanted to stay somewhere downtown and close to everything. There are bars within walking distance, and more only a short taxi ride away. There is a parking garage across the street, which is free on the weekends. The hotel also offers valet parking for $20. The room was bigger and nicer than I expected! I would definitely stay here again!!!

Very attractive, clean room with some nice extra touches. Wish we would have had time to take advantage of the spa - it looked wonderful.

great weekend getaway

Second stay at this hotel, close walk to good restaurants in the Court district always felt safe even with very few people walking in the area. The staff are great, friendly and attentive. We did not use the spa but the breakfast was great, the chef used vegetables from his own garden for the omelets, nice touch. Don't miss the Farmers market Saturday morning better than most we have been to.

Great wedding night, great 1 year

we have stayed here twice. First for our wedding night, second for our one year anniversary. Both were great experiences. The staff helped get the cab for us in the morning. There was a great complimentary breakfast. The room was spacious. Both experiences were awesome. Can't wait to go back,

Tolerable Experience

My husband and I stayed for a quiet night together without the children. We were received at the desk graciously and found our room to be initially quiet nice by appearances. Within a few minutes of being in the room, we realized that the walls were quite thin and could hear the neighbors adjacent to our room. The mattress and pillows were not comfortable at all, leaving both of us with stiff necks by morning. A nice, warm shower would have helped the sore necks; however, the shower in our room had absolutely no pressure and the water was so soft that it never felt like you could remove all the soap. It was not the pleasant experience we had hoped for and would not stay there again.

Beautiful Hotel

We stayed for our wedding anniversary and received a couples massage the following morning. The room was beautiful and the front desk was very friendly, I would defiantly bring your own soda and snacks since there is not vending machine and the snacks in the room were very pricey, we ended up going to Walmart to get soda. The air conditioner didn't work that well, it took a really long time to cool the room off since there was only 1 vent in the whole room it was so hot I couldn't even do my makeup in the bathroom cause it would sweat right off, very uncomfortable but then in the middle of the night it was freezing so it must have started to work finally while we were sleeping. One of the vents was not a vent since it was not attached to the wall when I bumped it it fell off and was just covering a hole to the furnace. But other than that the room was beautiful loved the tray ceiling and the brick room, the carpet was so soft beneath our feet and the bed was very comfortable. The massage was great too, even though we wanted a couples massage they told us one of the tables was broken so in stead of moving the spare one they asked us if we wanted to do our massages in separate rooms or if we wanted them to move the bed to the couples room, I felt bad asking them to move the bed but that was the whole reason we were both getting a massage otherwise I would have just gotten one myself and my husband would not have, but they were nice about it i just felt they shouldn't have even asked since we told them it was our anniversary they should have just moved the bed since then i felt guilty for wanting a couples massage not separate ones. We had a drink after dinner in the hotel bar and it was AMAZING, the bartender was so nice and the atmosphere was romantic. The price was not that great, I could have booked a nicer hotel in Chicago for about $30 less.

Walked to Centro's Italian right down the street and it was AMAZING, would defiantly go back, I think there is one where we live too. After dinner we had a drink in the hotel bar and it was very romantic and we had a GREAT time there, the bartender was so nice.
